One of the campaigns I am most proud of, now in it's third year and growing all the time ๐Ÿ’•

Five fabulous women came together and stepped outside of their comfort zones to strip down and bare their bums in pink pants to show support for the campaign during Cervical Screening Awareness Week (14-20th June). The aim of We Are All Smear Ready is to tackle embarrassment and body image, which are cited as two of the main reasons that women do not attend their smear tests (cervical screening.
Findings from a study by Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust showed that:
๐Ÿ˜”33% of women would not attend a cervical screening if they have not shaved or waxed their bikini lineโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ˜”Over 26.7% of women are too embarrassed to attend cervical screening.
๐Ÿ˜”16.7% are not comfortable with how their body looksโ€ฆ

I felt show of self-confidence from myself and other women aged between 30 and 42 would empower others to not feel ashamed of their wonderful bodies and to not let it be a barrier to getting screened.
However we look, we are all smear ready ๐Ÿ’ช
