Ads are coming to a lot of new platforms in 2026, and Meta is also allowing users to opt out for £3.99 per month. The paid advertising landscape is going to be quite different 6 months from now!

In 2016, the team was just Lee and Justin, the office was more of an entrance, and everything felt brand new (and very scary!).

This video shows Google’s AI Mode shopping experience, where users can purchase products directly inside Google Search, without ever visiting a retailer’s website.

What’s new?
➡️ In-search product comparisons, pricing, and availability
➡️ Fewer clicks from search to checkout
➡️ A buying journey that stays inside Google’s ecosystem

How will this change user buying behaviours? Consumers are moving toward:
✅ Faster, lower-friction purchases
✅ Fewer tabs, fewer decisions, less research time
✅ Trusting AI summaries over brand websites
✅ Choosing convenience over brand loyalty

In short: the first product surfaced by AI increasingly becomes the product purchased.
