I had the most beautiful afternoon visiting Rebecca Thomas Robinson’s artist studio as part of Isle of Wight Open Studios this weekend.

It’s like walking into a different world! Her work is thoughtful, lovingly made from vintage fabrics, tactile papers and carefully chosen materials, each piece carrying its own quiet intention and story. There’s such a beautiful balance of sustainability, craft and emotion in what she creates.

Her studio felt immersive and calming; one of those spaces where you want to slow down and take everything in properly. You soak up the sense of wellbeing just from being there. So much texture, colour, history and care held within one room. Really grateful to have spent time in her space today - the kind of visit that stays with you long after you leave.

What a glorious morning! The sun is shining and Roo and I got to meet Jackie - Neuroinclusive.coach - to talk marketing and merch ☀️

Just cycled down to meet the lovely Katy Little Victories and Roo the dog in beautiful Rectory Mansions, Brading for some marketing merch and tips. What a find!

Out of the studio and over on the other side of the island today. I spent the morning meeting the team at Dimbola Museum & Galleries, the former home of pioneering Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. The building itself is full of character - a striking Victorian house with the most wonderful sea views, now thoughtfully preserved as a museum, gallery and tea room. You can really feel the creative history in the space, with rooms that once hosted artists, writers and thinkers now showcasing Cameron’s iconic work alongside other exhibitions.

On the way back, I made a pit stop to talk printing with a new supplier, then headed to Newport to refuel and catch up on admin. Snacks and Ladders Board Game Café, as always, didn’t disappoint - their homemade pea and mint soup well and truly hit the spot before heading off on the school run.

A different kind of day, but a lovely one ☺️

Not the day I had planned, but maybe the one I needed.

A little sun at Duver Cafe and a quiet moment to breathe helped me process a lot from this past week 😮‍💨

I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by a group of utterly brilliant and incredibly resilient women who I’ve not only had the pleasure of working with creatively, but who have also become some of my most grounding, sincere and loyal friends.

Over the past year, life and business have both thrown their challenges in different ways for all of us. But through it all, these women have shown up - with encouragement, honesty, humour and kindness. Sometimes it’s advice, sometimes it’s perspective and sometimes it’s simply being there to help pick up the pieces.

The things that come so naturally to them (the thoughtful messages, the quiet support, the willingness to listen or step in) have a far greater impact than they probably realise.

We hold each other up, we champion each other’s work and we remind each other to keep going with compassion and clear thinking when things feel heavy.

International Women’s Day isn’t about one group alone. This year’s theme, Give to Gain, feels especially fitting because the support, generosity and encouragement shared between women in business has a ripple effect far beyond any one circle.

But today I want to say how grateful I am for this one. I genuinely can’t imagine my life - personally or professionally - without them in it.

Here’s to supporting women, every day of the year 💜

Today at the Medina Foodservice Food Show! I love being part of this event every year - seeing regular exhibitors, meeting new ones, and bumping into friends from Medina and across the hospitality industry.

There’s always a constant buzz and a steady stream of people talking, tasting and buying all day long.

Thanks for having me again this year.

And here’s the only photo I managed to get for myself at the end of the day… a 3:30pm cake breakfast, courtesy of Calbourne Classics of course!

A year ago I updated my brand to better reflect how my business has evolved… and I’ve finally updated my car to match!

I’ve worked a lot with and their attention to detail is a designer’s dream. Every print and fit is flawless. Huge thanks to Adam and Chris for bringing it back to life!

It may just be me and Roo at the studio, but we’re never alone. Being based at Rectory Mansion Brading means being surrounded by the most supportive, kind and wonderful businesses. They make the hard days easier, the good days better and my heart very full. So grateful to be a part of something bigger 💚 Thank you Sarah Matthews Flowers & Styling for re-filling my cup

There’s something enchanting about being at Rectory Mansion Brading by yourself late at night. It’s amazingly peaceful, with the distant murmur of the High Street and the hushed atmosphere of the courtyard. The soft glow of the lights and the warmth of the studio on a cold evening.
