Take a look at these really rather extraordinary luggage tags, produced for Bentley Motors. An exquisite example of what can be achieved with the finest materials and exceptional people. Speaking of exceptional people, it feels right to give a mention to F. Gordon Crosby, the most famous motoring artist of the pre-war years and, at the request of personal friend W.O. Bentley, creator of the original Winged B. Interestingly he developed an asymmetrical design with each wing featuring a different number of feathers to make it completely unique – and stay one step ahead of fraudulent imitations.

Print Specifications:
Paper stock:

G. F. Smith Colorplan Ebony. Die-cut to shape and hand-tied elastic.

Finishes to re-create the iconic Bentley Winged B in print:

Clear gloss foil. Silver gloss foil to wings. Black gloss foil to centre. White matt foil to B and to the letters below the logo. Then finally, deboss to Bentley B.

Stunning right? 🤩

This is still one of our favourite ever print jobs. Eye-catching blue foil from superbly compliments the silver vinyl. The definition and relief in the blind debossed details come from using a 3000mic board beneath. The inners are printed on .paper Tintoretto Gesso and suit the feel of the covers perfectly.
