🔥Front page feature!🔥

The best way to get in front of your local customers is to be front and centre, visible even when they just walk past the newspaper stand (this was spotted in a local Tesco!) and I don't think we could have done better than this with ❤️

It always gives me the biggest rush when I can get clients the coverage they deserve, and put their businesses in front of the right eyes to help them continue growing!

What a day! 💖

I love a day spent talking to lots of people about their businesses, their ideas and aspirations and today I had that in spades! 🌟

Kicked off my day with a call with the brilliant Chris from Spiky Carrot (a connection made through Sophie at The Ops Alchemist) to talk about the platform which sounds absolutely amazing! It was wonderful to talk about the idea and methodology as well as just getting to chat about how we found running our own businesses, looking forward to seeing how Spiky Carrot continues to grow 💪

Then it was time for networking at the last ever Clare Farthing - Inspiring Success online meetup! I will definitely miss the online network but I'm so excited to see what's next for Clare as her business continues to evolve ❤️ (also huge shout-out to Goldfinch Marketing for the SEO spotlight session, even if it did make my brain explode)

Rounding out the day (or so I thought) was a great meeting with Dawn from Hurd & Co which turned into us setting the world to rights over coffee ☕ Dawn has the best energy and I cannot wait to work with her!!

I thought I was finished for the day but I'm super glad that wasn't the case because I had a surprise catch up with Neil Fellowes and two of the students working with him at Sedgemoor fm! I love seeing Neil's creative process in action, it's also really fun to see how he gets the students involved in that process and to see how they start to grow in confidence even just throughout the conversation 💻

Days like this make me so happy to be doing what I do ❤️

📰My biggest PR challenge to date!📰

It's easy to share PR wins, and the industry often makes it look like every campaign goes viral and every client is a media darling. 🎥

However, sometimes the job involves a lot of behind-the-scenes struggles, strategic pivots, and, sometimes, outright failures. 🙃

Let's dive into one of my biggest challenges to date and what it taught me!

Sometimes you get a client who has a great story to tell but for reasons unknown to you, media simply won't bite. You try different angles, different stories, different outlets but...silence. 🤐

That was my experience with one of my clients, until some recent coverage broke through and we realised that it was all about persisting, being patient and pivoting constantly to find exactly the right hook to get us results!

It's hard to not be inspired in a bright and welcoming space like this! ☀

Had an amazing time at the South Somerset meetup organised by Clare Farthing - Inspiring Success today. I learned a lot from the lovely ladies in attendance and took away some very valuable lessons about authenticity, putting yourself out there and managing work life balance!

Big thanks to Sophie at The Ops Alchemist for a great 1:1 chat about ideal clients and for teaching me the phrase 'soul-led business' (I will definitely be using that again)!
