The company’s core business is the provision of facility development and support for Local Authorities, educational establishments and Leisure Trusts that want to improve or expand the leisure products and services they offer. Our work with Durham County Council's 'thrive' brand shows what can happen when a brand becomes more than a visual identity.

We helped create a platform that connects campaigns, digital advertising, social media, websites, apps and customer communications under one recognisable brand – while still giving individual facilities and services the flexibility to speak directly to their communities.

And the impact is clear:

Spotlight On: The PEAK

We worked with Active Stirling to identify how existing space could be intelligently transformed to increase capacity, without the need for new build expansion, and without compromising the broader facility offer.

The results speak for themselves:

🏋️ 1,500 new memberships in the first three months
📈 On track to reach 10,000 members in the next six months
🏆 The highest membership of any single-site public sector leisure facility in the UK

For Active Stirling, every membership helps fund programmes that tackle inequality, improve health outcomes and remove barriers to sport and physical activity across Stirlingshire - proving that successful leisure facilities can be both commercially sustainable and socially transformative.

Delivered through the UK Leisure Framework, a specialist delivery team brought the project to life, including Thomas Johnstone Ltd, CD Architects, Bellrock (Axiom), Struer, Wallace Whittle, ABT Safety and Hutchi.

Creating inviting spaces where children can play and families can spend quality time together doesn't always require a major redevelopment.

At Evesham Leisure Centre, we worked with Wychavon District Council, Wychavon Leisure and Play Revolution to repurpose an underused climbing area into a vibrant indoor play zone that's already helping to attract more families and engage children from an early age.

The £275,000 project, delivered through the UK Leisure Framework, includes:

🛝 Multi-level adventure play with TAG technology
👶 A dedicated sensory zone for babies and toddlers
🏡 A welcoming space that encourages active play and repeat visits

This project is another great example of how a small investment can still have a large impact, and how reimagining existing spaces can breathe new life into leisure facilities.

A major milestone has been reached at the new £28.9m Bishop Auckland Leisure Hub.

With the main structure now in place and water testing of the pool tanks complete, we’re excited to see the scale of this landmark community facility starting to take shape.

By bringing physical activity, learning, wellbeing and community services together under one roof, the new centre is designed to make it easier for residents to access support, stay active and take part in community life.

Working alongside a fantastic project team, we’re looking forward to seeing the development continue to progress.

“Something for Everyone” – bringing a new leisure centre to life.

For the launch of The Cath Thom Leisure Centre, our Engagement team worked closely with the council to develop an inviting, inclusive campaign that showcased the breadth of what the new facility has to offer.

Our Engagement support included:
🔹 Meta and Google Search advertising
🔹 Video content showcasing the facilities and atmosphere
🔹 In-centre launch branding
🔹 Timetable-led promotions to encourage visits and trial
🔹 Community-focused messaging for families, clubs and casual users
🔹 Support with the redesign of the existing app

The result? A launch campaign that positioned The Cath Thom Leisure Centre as a vibrant, welcoming destination for the whole community, helping drive early engagement across memberships, activities and bookings.
