I’ve tried ten million bits of software over the past 8 years running marketing departments - you’d think setting up my own systems for this new freelancing era would be la la la.
Projects really start to kick off next week so, in between new client meetings this week, I’ve been trying to get super organised, and somehow managed to waste a not very amusingly large amount of time indecisively trying out project management software.💻
I’ve maxed on free trials this month for Asana (looks sexy), Motion (all kinds of tempting organise-your whole-life-in-one-click promises but actually impossibly messy) and revisiting monday.com (which we used in my last company but is tooooo kindergarten colours for me), before finally settling on which I am, thankfully, now loving.
That’s a whole blog’s worth of free advice for you right there.
I think finally sold me on the fact that one of their example template boards is a “must-watch-films” list which featured my hero, French arthouse director, . Found my software tribe. 🤜🏼🎞🤛🏾
One system I’m really pleased to have put in place early on is that I’ve popped two enquiry forms on my new website.
With both and , costs can be daunting for clients, and for both services there’s always a pretty flexible sliding scale, depending on your budget and what you’re trying to achieve.
Helping people think about what they really want before getting in touch is a great way to make sure the conversations we have get to the juicy bits quickly – saving me time making quotes, and helping clients get what they actually need faster. 👍🏼
Links to enquiry forms now also in the comments below.
