Sometimes the hardest thing for capable people to do is ask for help.

Especially when you’ve already built successful businesses before.

But the moment someone allows themselves the space to say, “I’m not sure what the next step is”, that’s often when the breakthrough comes.

Those “penny drop” moments are my favourite part of this work.

But inside, it can still feel uncertain.
Not because the wine isn’t good.
But because the structure behind the sales isn’t deliberate yet.

Fragility shows up as:

It comes from carrying the decisions alone.

From knowing the wine is good…
but not being entirely certain the sales structure is.

From meaning to “sort the marketing properly”
when things calm down but knowing they probably won’t.

Most wine producers I speak to aren’t failing.

They’re capable.
Committed.
Just stretched across too many roles at once.

At some point, it’s not about trying harder.

It’s about building the structure that lets you breathe.
