We’ve given part of Ganda its own home 👋

Ganda Studio is now live at https://ganda.studio

Although calling it “new” isn’t quite right, because we’ve actually been doing this work for years.

Alongside the print, design and creative side of Ganda Media we’ve been building websites, booking systems, ticketing platforms, internal tools, integrations and custom software for clients for a long time.

It had just got to the point where that side of the business needed a home of its own.

So that’s what Ganda Studio is.

If you’ve got a website that needs to actually do something, a business process that’s become a bit of a nightmare, a spreadsheet that’s doing far more work than it should be, or an idea for a bit of software that doesn’t quite exist yet, that’s exactly the sort of thing we like working on.

Flyers are still one of those print products that can work really well — as long as they’re not treated as an afterthought.

A good flyer should be clear, easy to read and have one obvious job.

That might be:

✅ promoting an event
✅ advertising an offer
✅ launching a new menu
✅ getting people into a venue
✅ explaining a service
✅ handing something useful to customers
✅ including a QR code for booking, ordering or more info

The main thing is not to cram absolutely everything onto it.

If someone has to stand there squinting at 19 different messages, 4 phone numbers, 6 fonts and a QR code the size of a postage stamp… it’s probably not doing its job.

Sending artwork for print?

A few quick checks can save a lot of faff before anything goes near the printer.

The big ones are:

✅ Set the artwork up at the correct finished size
✅ Add bleed where needed
✅ Keep important text and logos away from the edge
✅ Use high-resolution images
✅ Export as a print-quality PDF where possible
✅ Check colours carefully if you designed in RGB - print is done in CMYK
✅ Double-check spelling, dates, phone numbers and QR codes

That last one is especially important. Printers are powerful, but they do not yet have a “this QR code goes to the wrong place” warning light.

Print tip of the day: bleed 👀

Not the dramatic kind — the print kind.

Bleed is the extra bit of artwork that goes past the final edge, so when your flyers, business cards, menus, leaflets or stickers are trimmed, you don’t end up with annoying white borders.

Tiny detail. Big difference.

Print tip of the day: bleed.

Bleed is the little extra bit of artwork that goes past the final cut line, so when your flyers, cards, menus or leaflets are trimmed, you don’t end up with annoying white edges.

Most standard print jobs need 3mm bleed on each edge, but some items — especially banners — can need different setup because of hemming and finishing.

We’ve put together a simple guide covering bleed, safe areas and the common artwork mistakes that can delay print jobs.

We’ve tried to make the new Ganda website a bit more useful than just “here’s some stuff we print”.

Because let’s be honest, most people don’t spend their evenings thinking about paper weights, bleed, lamination, outdoor materials or whether a PDF is better than a JPEG.

So we’ve started adding clearer info across the site to help with the bits people normally have to ask us about, like:

- What artwork we need and what works best
- What products are best for different jobs
- What affects turnaround times
- What finishes and stock actually mean
- How to avoid delays before something goes to print

It’s still a work in progress, but the idea is simple: make ordering print a bit less confusing.

Big news from Ganda HQ…

Our shiny new website is officially live! 🎉

We’ve given it a proper tidy up, made it easier to find what you’re after, and added loads more useful info for anyone needing print, signage, design, displays, stationery, stickers, flyers, banners, or basically anything that needs making to look good.
