Today our very own will be taking part in a class at ! We believe in the same future for our industry and look forward to seeing that change to more inclusive networks, line ups and crowds!

The wonderful has set up a fantastic initiative FutureDJs and will provide 1,000 girls, trans and non-binary students, under the age of 18, with free access to the training, tools and industry mentorship they need to kick start a career in dance music. The scheme hopes to redress the persistent gender imbalance in professional music – from ground up!

The statistic for female/non-binary producers in the industry is roughly 3% . We are all out there and there are so many of us practising production and releasing music but perhaps not getting the deserved recognition. I’ve compiled a small selection of some of my favourite producers right now and will be doing these regularly along with a Spin Suga playlist forthcoming 👀. Happy 2021 !!! We know there’s a lot going on right now, things are hard and we’re desperate to get back to some kinda normal! But we’re gonna do our best to bring you some helpful content in our feed and also shed some further insight into who we are and the artists/djs/producers we support! It’s important for us and everyone in the music industry right now to know that their career can still move forward during this time despite live gigs, even if it’s slower than usual. Everyone around us has dealt with the pandemic in different ways and we’ll be talking to others about that and how they’ve kept going to hopefully inspire others who may be struggling right now. To kick off 2021, we filmed the first of our Spin Suga sessions last month with the first ones live now from ! There are more mixes to come soon 👀
