It was a privilege to work with Virginia MacNaughton on the artwork for her latest album, The Thread. A very personal project for her.

Virginia had the image she wanted to use for the cover - a photograph of her younger self with her sister and dad, taken by her mum. The colours, texture and style all followed.

There was a lot of retouching, especially on the back cover. Recreating the steps from the front without Virginia and her family in front was a challenge. I think it was successful.

I'm very happy with the outcome and wish Virginia every success with the album.
