Popped up the road to Bath at the weekend to check out the Norman Ackroyd at
I've been a huge fan of his work since I was at LCP and it was stunning to see this collection of some of his etchings, spanning 50 years, in one place.

His ability to capture and play with the light, textures and deep shadows of the landscape and coast was unmatched. I also enjoyed reading about his humble beginnings in Leeds but I never knew of his experiments with adding type to his etchings, nor that so many of his editions ran up to 90.

It's on until the 6th of September.

This Friday, the 27th March, we're celebrating 10 years of the Bristol Print Collective bringing people together through printmaking!

Where? The Chocolate Factory, Centrspace Studios When? 6-9pm

As per usual, we've got a printy activity lined up for attendees, but this time we're making printers hats!

So bring along a print to fold and turn into a party hat! We will also be doing a big print swap.... bring a proof or misprint wrapped up, and take home someone else's unwanted print! £6 a ticket - includes drink and cake!
