Roof lights and windows started going in today! A very nerve wracking day. Thought Rich was going to burst a blood vessel on the lead up to this. Seeing them starting to go in does suddenly make the house feel more homely.
Thanks for everyone’s help today, but a special thanks to and for being absolute legends and getting the tricky roof lights in.

Beautiful view from the garden today on this crisp autumn day. This is a far as I’m allowed to venture as currently isolating with covid. Definitely grateful to have this piece of countryside to gaze at.

COP26 is happening in Glasgow this November. Leaders around the world 🌎 will be gathering to discuss what actions we need to take as a nation to reduce our carbon emissions and save our precious planet. Quite a big deal then!!

I’ve been working with the to make sure the right things are on the agenda. In the lead up to COP it is important to show that as individuals and communities that we want to take action. It is easy to feel helpless with all the doom and gloom on the news. However small actions can lead to big change when done on mass. So I created for the Soil Association a ‘Take action pack’ which gives helpful tips and advice on what you can do at home. You can also make a pledge to take up a climate protecting action before COP26.

To download the pack for free use the link in my bio. We can do this ✊🌎.

started yesterday! Here are some quick and easy changes you can make this July to cut down on your plastic use.

Plastic can seem impossible to eradicate completely from our lives, but small changes in our daily habits can make a world of difference. This is why challenges like Plastic Free July can be so effective. You also get the social support and pressure to stick to it by all taking up the challenge over the same month.

What are you hoping to give up this July? I'm looking to reduce my plastic-on-the-go at lunchtime and bring in last nights dinner instead. My 👛 will also thank me for it 😀

I was invited last night by to take a tour of the tall ship as it docked in . The Pelican is currently voyaging around the UK on a plastic pollution research voyage around the UK with and the team. The aim is to highlight how all of our actions are having an impact on our oceans. You can follow along on their journey by watching their stories

The voyage is forming part of the awareness campaign that is happening on the 16th June and a project that I have been working on, creating all the branding and creative roll-out. More on this soon.

I’ve just started up a new Instagram account to continue my eco blogging story. It will cover the + my tips on living more sustainably. So if this is of interest please give me a follow, I’d love to have you along for the ride.

I’ll still be posting bits and pieces on these topics on this account, but this will become slightly more focused on my creative endeavours in the sustainability/charity space. I’m also going to start taking a deeper dive into behaviour change and how this can be used for marketing for good.

Seeing as my last few posts have been about organic beauty, I thought I’d share this organic beauty report I designed for last year.

The report highlights new product, brands and trends in organic beauty. The report used a soft-muted colour palette and used lots of photography and infographics to give it a polished and stylish aesthetic. You can download the full report from the Soil Association’s website.

If you’d like to learn more about organic beauty check out my latest blog post on My Circular Life (link in bio)

Reusable mascara? Mascara cake? Probably right now you can hardly remember what mascara is we’ve been in lockdown so long. Getting ready to go out to the pub probably feels like a hazy memory.

However despite having a few more greasy hair, no makeup days at the moment, I’m still wearing it most days, just gives me a bit of a boost if I’ve made a bit of an effort. 💄

These days I’m very conscious of what I put on my face. There are A LOT of chemicals in some makeup, so I went on a mission to find brands with a more natural approach, using natural, organic ingredients (preferably) that aren’t tested on animals and also vegan.

I’ve also been considering the waste disposal of makeup. There is generally a lot of plastic packaging involved and most of it isn’t recyclable. There are however a few brands paving the way with reusable products (don’t worry this isn’t unhygienic). Check out my latest blog post (link in bio) to find out how you can reduce the waste and chemicals in your makeup regime. I review lots of products and give my honest opinion on my experience using them.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products or have any of your own suggestions. I’d love to hear from you.

Playing with animated gifs 🚲 for my new website, hopefully launching soon 🤞

This has got to be one of the most complicated gifs I’ve ever done, would of much easier to do it in Adobe animate but wanted to keep the file size down. Needs a bit of tweaking, but it’s getting there. Right home time! Enjoy your weekend.

Exciting news for 2021! We're finally starting the build of our eco house in April! (assuming Covid doesn't put another spanner in the works.)

Anyway I thought it was about time that I shared a few visuals of what we are trying to build. There have been a few changes since our architect did these, but this gives you an idea.

I'm going to share our journey on my blog and post on here as well, although I might start a new feed, so you don't get too bombarded with pictures of builders! Maybe just the highlights on here. If you are interested in eco building and design please feel free to comment or send me a DM with any questions. I'm definitely learning a lot, so it would be nice to share this knowledge and also hear other people's experiences if you have undertaken your own project.

I've also got some grand plans for the garden and hoping to bring in some permaculture principles having completed a permaculture design course a few years ago with which was fantastic. If you are interested in practical sustainability training, eco building and gardening that works with natural ecosystems check them out.

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you aren’t feeling too sad about being back in the office.

I felt a bit lost this morning and overwhelmed about everything I need to do this year. I felt like I should be mapping out all my goals for 2021! Including some sort of vision board to bring it all together! (Isn’t that the thing these days!)

There is so much I want to achieve with work, but feel like I’m constantly playing catch up. Just as I was starting to feel rather stressed I received this lovely email out of the blue from a client I did a re-brand for a year or so ago. Saying Happy New Year and telling me how pleased she was with her branding and how well it had been working for her business. It was just what I needed to hear at that moment. So thank you Julie Atherton, you made my day and reminded me why I do what I do.

Julie runs a marketing consultancy with the belief that small change can create the biggest wins. The imagery depicts close ups of nature - finding the beauty in the small details. The logo letters are intertwined showing that the small changes can result in big results. I loved working on this project with Julie and
