No, Simon Roberts isn’t secretly Nathan Edwards… although with a helmet on, we can’t fully rule out a Stig-style double life 👀

Great to be trackside at Oulton Park this weekend supporting Nathan Edwards Racing and the EXCELR8 Motorsport team – and what a weekend it turned out to be.

After a tough qualifying incident, Nathan delivered two brilliant recovery drives:

🏁 Race 1: P13 (+6)
🏁 Race 2: P10 (+9)

A real demonstration of resilience, teamwork, and racecraft – and a testament to the Excelr8 crew for getting the car turned around and back out after qualifying.

It was fantastic to have our colleague Simon trackside, alongside our customer Dan Wyke and the family at Vinyl Detail, as well as the wider group of partners who help make these race weekends possible.

Proud to see the car looking spot on in AUTO Drift – a great showcase of what can be achieved with the right materials and expertise behind them.

Plenty of positives to take away - we reset and go again at Knockhill 👊

Great to welcome Lewis Johnson and Danny Raines from Lakeside Group to the Spandex Experience Centre last week for our two-day Multi-brand Vehicle Wrap course, led by Application Specialist Jason Davison.

Over the two days, they got hands-on with a range of materials – from cast and polymeric through to monomeric films – working across the curves and recesses installers tackle every day. A great way to build real-world understanding, especially when it comes to more challenging materials like reflective and fluorescent vinyls.

By the end of the course, they’d gained new skills, practical experience, and a real appreciation for the level of detail and technique that goes into a professional wrap.

Not without its challenges – but that’s all part of what makes it so rewarding.

From race cars to heavy-duty fleet - AUTO Drift delivers 👊

This time, a standout project from Hardy Signs in Dorchester, who wrapped this impressive grab lorry for Portland Stone - and the results speak for themselves.

From bold branding on the cab to the clean, vibrant finish across the bodywork, this is a fantastic example of how AUTO Drift performs on larger, more demanding vehicle surfaces.

As Hardy Signs put it:

That kind of feedback is exactly what we love to hear 👏

After showcasing AUTO Drift on the Nathan Edwards Racing Mini Cooper, this project highlights the other end of the spectrum - proving the material performs just as well on heavy-duty commercial vehicles as it does on high-impact motorsport liveries.
