A little look behind the scenes at our recent content day with Bristol Property Centre šŸŽ¬

What you see on social media is usually the finished product.

What you don’t see is the planning, the scripting, the multiple takes, the camera roll full of bloopers, and the ongoing debate about whether that last take was actually better than the first one.

Content days like these are all about capturing enough footage to keep the team visible, relevant and front of mind long after we’ve packed the cameras away.

And fortunately, the Bristol Property Centre team are always up for getting involved.

This is basically what having a Leaky Bucket website feels like.

You do all the hard work. You invest in the marketing. You get people interested enough to click. They land on your website…and then somehow the whole thing falls apart right before the finish line. A bit like these bloopers, really.

Everyone’s in the right place, the camera’s rolling, the script is ready. And then someone forgets what they’re saying halfway through and we’re all back to square one. That’s what a lot of websites are doing every day.

The marketing gets people there, but the website doesn’t quite stick the landing. Which is why we’re constantly banging on about conversion. Because sometimes the problem isn’t getting more visitors. It’s making sure the ones you’ve already paid for don’t quietly wander off never to be seen again.

Anyway, enjoy watching Paul repeatedly fail to get through a sentence. It felt on brand for this topic.

Ever feel like your marketing should be generating more enquiries than it is?

You might have what we call a "Leaky Bucket" website.

The idea is simple. Every visitor who lands on your website is a potential opportunity. But if your site isn't making it easy for them to take the next step, those opportunities quietly disappear.

We see it all the time with estate agency websites. Plenty of traffic, but not enough enquiries.

The good news? More traffic isn't always the answer.

Sometimes small improvements to your website can have a bigger impact than increasing your marketing budget.

Before turning the tap on harder, make sure the bucket isn't leaking.

If you think you may have fallen victim to a Leaky Bucket website, take our 5-minute quiz to see exactly how much traffic you might be wasting...

We can totally see this actually…

Right after it spends a Saturday conducting viewings, calms down a nervous first-time buyer, manages a chain that’s hanging together by a thread, and explains for the fifth time why the survey isn’t actually the end of the world.

AI is changing the industry, there’s no denying that. But the biggest opportunities aren’t coming from replacing estate agents. They’re coming from removing admin, speeding up processes and giving agents more time to focus on the parts of the job that people actually value.

The future probably isn’t AI versus estate agents. It’s estate agents who understand AI versus those who don’t.

If you’re being completely honest with yourself, which side are YOU on at the moment?

May, in a nutshell šŸ‘‡

A Bristol to Bath bike ride, a content day with , multiple fans working harder than some of us during the heatwave, and for reasons we’re still trying to explain to ourselves, cheese rolling. Plus, and very importantly, a few fluffy friends.

There were meetings, marketing strategies, content plans and client projects in between, but they don’t photograph quite as well as someone chasing a wheel of cheese down a hill.

As always, a good mix of work, fresh air and making the most of living and working in the South West.

Now on to June...preferably with slightly fewer weather-related complaints.

The UK gets three days of sunshine and suddenly we’re all operating like a Victorian aristocrat who’s been sent somewhere tropical against their will.

Productivity? Questionable.
Fan? Working overtime.
Complaining about the heat after spending six months complaining about the rain? Absolutely.

Normal service will resume when temperatures return to a level the British public deems acceptable.
So... September?

This is genuinely one of our favourite things to hear.

Mostly because most people start the process somewhere between ā€œwe haven’t updated it since 2018ā€ and ā€œplease don’t look at the mobile version.ā€

A good website should feel like your business finally matching the standard you know it deserves. Not just something that looks nice, but something that actually works properly, explains what you do clearly and stops potential customers disappearing into the void two clicks in.

Also, there’s always a moment during launch day where everyone suddenly becomes emotionally attached to font choices they didn’t care about three weeks earlier.

Part of the process.

Honestly, people are far more interested in someone actually saying something useful than watching another painfully polished corporate video where everyone looks slightly afraid of the camera.

The internet has shifted. People want personality. They want honesty. They want someone who sounds like an actual human being instead of a scripted LinkedIn motivational quote generator.

Half the reason ā€œyappingā€ content performs so well is because it feels natural. It feels like someone talking, not broadcasting.

So if you’ve been overthinking posting because the lighting isn’t perfect, you stumbled over a word, or there’s an awkward cut between takes…congratulations, you’ve accidentally made something more relatable (like this Oscar-worthy moment right here šŸ˜…)

The polished era is getting quieter.

The personality era is doing numbers.

We recently had the pleasure of launching the brand new website for Trafalgar Property Consultancy as part of their exciting rebrand šŸ‘

With a quick turnaround needed to line up with the launch of the new brand, the focus was on creating a website that felt modern, professional and reflective of the business as it continues to grow.

From the initial planning through to launch, it was great working closely with Graham and the team to bring the new Trafalgar vision to life online.

We were also incredibly grateful to receive this feedback from Graham Jacobs, Director of Trafalgar Property Consultancy:

ā€œSuperb Digital recently designed and launched our new website to coincide with the rebrand of Trafalgar, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

The turnaround time was incredibly impressive, especially given the scale of the project and the tight timeframe we were working towards. The whole process felt straightforward and well managed from start to finish, with the team making everything clear and easy throughout.

The finished website perfectly reflects the direction of the business and the new Trafalgar brand. We’re extremely pleased with both the design and functionality, and would highly recommend Superb Digital to anyone looking for a professional and efficient digital marketing partner.ā€

A huge thank you again to the Trafalgar team for trusting us with such an important project šŸ™Œ

Also impressive: 365 days of putting up with marketing conversations.

Happy 1 year Miranda šŸ‘
