We're bringing Lighting Up Brixham to a close this year as The Walk of Fame is now completed, we have some remaining residual funding for permanent additions to Brixham town so please let us know if you have any ideas. In the meantime we also have a significant quantity of ex Golden Hind PIRATE STOCK which we are selling off at cost price. We have dozens of attractive scarves, bandanas, leather and "hairy" hats, mice, rings, belts, scull money boxes, small red eyed sculls plus rat hand puppets. Get in touch if you have a local shop or want to run your own pirate stand at the upcoming The Brixham Pirate Festival . Be quick as many of these are known best sellers in the town. See photo. Get in touch for viewing and prices. Please note larger commercial quantities only for sale not one off items. Neil

We’re thrilled to confirm that the final Phase Five plates have been laid. The Walk ends with an “Ode to Fame” inspired by a four hundred year old poem. Huge thanks for all of your support. There are now more than 500 names immortalised on the famous Victoria Breakwater. Also thanks to the Brixham Northfield Foundry who have resolutely cast all 21 plates. Note - Plates will soon develop the same patina.

With love

Phase Five plates currently being cast in the famous Brixham Northfield Foundry. These are the two last plates as we've now announced that we are placing The Walk on hold. Thanks to everyone who is on Phase Five (Plate 19). We've laid the base rails for the new plates and two Plates will be set before Easter. As a final celebratory Plate (20) we've made a special design with a wave motif and included a poem based on one written over 430 years ago on the theme of immortality. We hope that you like it. YOUR names will join over 500 names already on The Walk and you can search the full list of names here www.brixhamswalkoffame.com
If anybody would like to assist laying the last two plates then please let us know as we require a hand for a few hours. Maybe help lay your name Plate. All Walk proceeds go towards permanent town improvements. Huge thanks again for your support. Vi###y & Neil

Only THREE name places left on Phase FIVE of Brixham's famous Walk of Fame - after which The Walk will take a break. So this may be the last chance to have your family or friends immortalised - possibly for ever! Want to be part of the last plate? Then register now here. Individual names from £145. www.brixhamswalkoffame.com/register
The moulds are created by computer in timber, full size in Doncaster, then transported to Brixham where they are cast in iron in the famous Northfield Foundry. They patinate to a lovely golden orange to echo the sails of the traditional fishing vessels in the harbour. Thanks again to everybody for their support thus far and all proceeds from The Walk go towards permanent town improvements. Well, what are you waiting for? It may be "now or never" to see your names immortalised on the famous Victoria Breakwater.
