Here is just 5 ways that you can support local businesses here in Dorset! Share this post and spread the word!

1- Buy their product/ service

This is perhaps the most obvious one. Buying from a small business is the best way to support them and help make their dream a reality!

2- Share their posts on social media

Sharing their posts on social allows them to reach even more people which will hopefully lead to sales.

3- Leave them a review

Reviews have massive power in helping close a sale. Leaving a review for products you love can really build a businesses brand online.

4- Recommend them to a friend

Had a friend compliment the lovely candle in your living room? Send them a link to where you got it!

5- Share photos of their product and tag them

Sharing photos of their product can really help as they can share them to their followers. This shows the product being used in real life and can be seen favourably compared to staged product shots.

Fiery Fox Candles

Love what you do 🥰

Enjoying your job is a must. I love pouring every candle & melt - even the odd one with a wonky wick, sink hole or frosting! 😫😅

These 100 special order candles were just as fun to make as a small two candle order just before it. Large or small - every order is given the same care and attention to detail.

The weekend is almost here, and the sun has got his hat on ... well the rain has cleared for a little while at least! 😎

What Dorset adventures will you be planning? 😅

Take a little Kombucha energy boost along for the ride, and send me a pic or two! 😍

For my first small business feature I spoke to H**e from boochacha.

Tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is H**e and I am from Dorset. I love the ocean, I go cold water swimming and paddle boarding all year round! Enjoy live music, festivals, surfing and cycling too and am always trying out new health trends, hence my obsession with kombucha! After 5 years of work as a mechanical engineer I decided it was time to go on a career break and travel solo! I had the best time ever, starting off in Asia then headed over to Central America and Mexico.

What does your business do?

My business is spreading the word about home-brew kombucha and selling home-brew kits! My kits each have a hand-painted and unique fermentation jar. A lot of my work is educating people, and providing samples so those who’ve never heard of it can try! I have bigger plans for the future, hoping to get bars, restaurants and cafes to set up their own kits so they can sell the kombucha to their customers and provide something for the alcohol free community!

When did you start your business and why?

When I went traveling I had my first experience of kombucha in Japan, where it has been used for over 2000 years, and after moving home decided to start making my own. I felt huge benefits to my health through drinking it each morning, especially the home-brew and began to tell friends and set kits up for them! I was made redundant from my job, and that was what pushed me into the business!

What does the local creator community mean to you?

I love meeting fellow small business people, it always feels like everyone in that community has such a great happy-nervous buzz about them! I guess we’ve all taken a leap into the unknown and have decided to take a risk and see where we end up with some hard work and determination!

Finally, how can we find you and support you?

I have kombucha kits available on the website www.BooChaCha.co.uk ! Keep an eye on the Instagram account (.cha.cha) too. It’s a great kit to take through to the new year and kickstart a new healthy habit, without being too much of the new year new me thing, let’s just be healthier me’s!
