Such a useful summary of a very underrated mode of the Thermomix
Tip Tuesday – Kettle Mode
Did you know…
☕ Coffee is best at 96°C
🍵 Green tea is happiest around 75–80°C
🫖 Black tea infuses perfectly at 93°C
This is exactly why I use Kettle Mode on my Thermomix® TM7 every single day 🙋♀️
No guessing. No boiling and hoping for the best. Just the perfect temperature, every time.
💚 Why I love it
✔️ Better flavour (no bitterness in teas!)
✔️ Protects nutrients (especially important for green tea & baby bottles)
✔️ Precise control from 37°C right through to 100°C
✔️ Heats as little as 100ml or up to 1.8L
✔️ The Thermie tells you when it’s ready (no waiting around!)
✔️ Uses less energy than repeatedly boiling a kettle
🍼 Yes… even baby bottles!
Kettle Mode is perfect for:
✨ Warming bottles gently to 37°C (body temp)
✨ Preparing formula with warm (not boiling) water
✨ No hot spots, no overheating — just safe, even warmth
Such a simple thing… but a big help for busy families 💚
🔑 How to use it
Add water to the bowl
Select Kettle Mode
Choose your temperature (37–100°C)
Press start — and your Thermie will alert you when it’s ready
💡 Top tip: Start with warm tap water to speed things up
💡 Use Kettle Mode for water only — for other liquids, use Warm Up Mode
Honestly… once you start using this instead of your kettle, you won’t go back.
Do you use Kettle Mode yet? Or is this your sign to start? 👇
