After many years working with the commercial print industry, supplying digital presses, we realised that the legacy model that exists, from a photocopier sales background, doesn’t always suit the modern day printer. The equipment isn’t built like a litho press and rapid changes in technology and software can often render your hardware out of date, sometimes before you’ve finished paying for it. An

d quite often the volume of digital work rapidly increases to the point where the machine you acquired simply won’t handle the workload, well before the final payment is due. Upgrading a lease or hire purchase agreement before the end date is expensive. The outstanding balance is added to the next agreement and this in turn increases the payments on the next machine, reducing your competitive advantage. Also, finance companies do not like taking on the “fresh air balances” of previous agreements and sourcing the funding for your digital investments can prove both challenging and frustrating. At Production Print Direct Ltd we remove all of the above pitfalls and supply you with the correct hardware to allow you to enter the market for digital print and grow your volume. Our unique Digital Press Rental scheme gives you a fully configured SRA3 Digital Press for a fixed period of twelve months – you only pay for what you use on a monthly direct debit. At the end of the agreement you can either extend for a further twelve months, swap-out the press for a more suitable engine or return the equipment. We also sell new and fully refurbished digital press equipment and can offer 3, 4 & 5 year lease terms (subject to approval). In addition if you have a Konica Minolta Production Press we could take over the servicing at very reasonable rates, thereby extending the life of your asset. 10 years ago this week, I started trading as Production Print Direct Limited. To say it's been eventful would be a massive understatement. The ups and downs, the highs and lows don't only serve to drive you around the bend but also inspire you to get the head down and push on, whatever's thrown at you. Each day, each year a new challenge but also new opportunity to work with some of the best people in the and wonderful customers, without whom, none of it would be possible.

The vision I had to create a service-focused business, in an industry all too often driven by sales, still holds true today and is hopefully what sets us apart.

Huge shout out to Tony Molloy, Steve Allen, Les Richmond, Joanne Slack and Jamie Cunningham for their hard work and dedication. •Initially workshop based, leading to a field engineer position, servicing, installing and maintaining our fleet of office and production print devices.
•No previous experience is necessary as all training will be provided by Konica Minolta and Mimaki.
•An interest in technology and computing is advantageous as the role can be combined with a relevant college course.
•Starting salary of £14k.
