Monday Motivation!
This week’s spotlight is shining on Marion Baxter, who sent in this lovely photograph! 💜
Today we remember Eva Jane Shepherd, born in 1919 in Rotherham, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Richard and Sarah Shepherd.
Eva joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) during the Second World War, serving with the rank of Private. Her service number was W/146248.
Sadly, Eva died on 18th March 1945 at the age of 24. She is buried at Christ Church Churchyard, Brampton Bierlow, Rotherham, Yorkshire, where her memory continues to be honoured.
Today, we remember Eva and the many women who served in the ATS, whose dedication and service played an important role during the war.
