While the UK melts over the upcoming week, it's a good time to look at where your website's actually getting hot, and where it's leaving visitors cold.

Heatmaps show you what people really do on your site. Where they click. How far they scroll. What they ignore completely. It's one of the quickest ways to spot why visitors aren't turning into enquiries.

Ending the week with another five-star review in, this time from the team at Bark in the Park UK 🐾

They came to us not knowing where to start with Google Ads. A few months on, the enquiries are coming in and they can see exactly what their spend is bringing back.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week.

How our team feels matters as much as what they produce. That's true this week, and every other week of the year.

A lot of companies have returned to the office full-time. We've chosen to stay flexible. Some days the office is the best place to focus and have that social interaction. Other days, home is best. We trust our team to know the difference and we don't measure anyone by where they're sitting.

We also actively encourage breaks. Proper ones. Lunch away from the screen. A walk. A coffee that isn't drunk while replying to emails. The work gets better when people aren't running on empty.

Looking after each other isn't a policy. It's just how we want to work.

Remember, take a break, get outside and breathe.

It's Earth Day. And honestly? It's made us think.

We're not perfect. We're not going to stand here and pretend we've got it all figured out. But when the opportunity comes to make a better choice, we try to take it.

Back in December we wanted to send something out to a few contacts. A thank you to some, and a little reminder to others that Clever Marketing exists (we're subtle like that 😄).

We could have gone the easy route. Bulk order, AliExpress, done. Cheap and cheerful.

It just didn't feel right.

We love investing in our team when we get the chance. And recently, that investment looked like Harry and Andy swapping their desks for a Figma course in London.

Harry Woodcock, our Digital Account Manager, and Andy Dowse, our Head of Design, spent the day levelling up their Figma skills. New techniques, sharper workflows, better ways of bringing ideas to life.

The best bit? (Aside from the generous spread of food and that rather lovely view of the Thames) They came back fired up, and those skills are already being put to work for our clients.

That's the thing about learning. It doesn't sit on a shelf. It shows up in the work almost immediately, in the details, the speed, the thinking behind the design.
