Most businesses don’t lose sales to competitors.

They lose sales to indecision.

👉👉 The longer your sales cycle, the stronger your follow-up needs to be.

❌ People rarely buy the first time they see your offer.
❌ They get distracted, overwhelmed, or think, “I’ll come back to this later.”
❌ Then… they forget, or receive another offer!

If you’re not consistently following up? You’re leaving money on the table.

💡 80% of sales happen between the 5th and 12th touchpoint
💡 But most businesses give up after just one or two

Following up doesn’t mean sending spammy ‘just checking in’ emails. It means:

✅ Educating people on why they need to act now
✅ Handling objections before they even voice them
✅ Sharing stories, case studies and value that builds trust
✅ Making it easy for them to say YES when they’re ready

So if your sales cycle is long, your follow-up should be longer, stronger and more valuable.

Not hearing back doesn’t mean they’re not interested.

It just means they’re not ready YET.

Well that got complicated way too quickly!

Growing an expert business while keeping your sanity feels impossible when you’re stuck doing ‘all the things’. The admin, the emails, the follow-ups, the sales, the delivery… yet somehow, the important stuff always gets pushed aside.

With the right system however, you can free up your time, focus on what you do best and actually enjoy running your business again.

Sound good?

Here’s a simple checklist to get you started. I’ve implemented this for dozens of expert clients. It works, it’s real and it’s totally doable.

The Expert’s Real-World Checklist for Building a Scalable System�
(Inspired by my UNLOCK Framework, minus the jargon and fluff)

1) Understand Your Audience (AKA, Stop Guessing):�You can’t solve problems if you don’t know what they are. Spend time figuring out what your audience actually needs. (Hint: it’s probably not another generic eBook.)

2) Nurture Leads Without Nagging:�Automate follow ups (emails, SMS, voice notes, WhatsApp) that feel personal and helpful. Think less “buy my stuff!” and more “here’s how I can make your life easier.”

3) Leverage Your Time Like a Pro:�Repeat after me: “I don’t have to do everything myself.” Automate repetitive tasks and delegate what you hate doing. Your genius is worth more than admin work!

4) Optimise Offers for Scalability:�High-ticket offers are great, but not everything has to rely on you being in the room. Think courses, memberships, subscriptions, or group coaching. Scale without burnout.

5) Convert Without Being Cringe:�Build systems that gently guide people to buy, without feeling pushy. It’s about showing them value, not shoving it down their inbox!

6) Keep It Logical (and Doable):�Your system should make sense and be easy to stick with. Overcomplicate it and it’ll collect dust faster than that gym membership from January.

Bonus Tip: Start small. You don’t need every shiny new tool to get started. One compelling offer and a clear automated follow-up process can change the game.
