The children's Demelza Hospice Care For Children helped one little girl say "I love you" to her mum for the first time.

That's just one reason why we're so proud to support them.

You can help them too.

If you have a small business, sign up to the me:now app using the code DEMELZA and we'll pay 40% of your subscription directly to them.

How many of us can really say who/how a particular charity helps?

It's often only when we are in need of help and we seek them out, that we are made aware of what they do.

Charities need to open up more about what they do.

Demelza Hospice Care For Children did exactly that (as you can read below), and this is why we are very proud to support them.

Two years ago I wrote about how the high street is sleepwalking to its end.

Nothing has changed.

Maybe now it's time for it to die.

If the high street and the businesses on it are to evolve, then it's time for the high street it to die. We aren't the generation it was designed for anyway

Do you feel like you're constantly being hounded for money by charities and schools?

If so, with charity giving in decline it will only get worse.

But what if a charity or school could raise funds without asking for money?

Does it seem like we are constantly being asked for money. The 'chuggers' may be indecline but the TV ads looking for donations are just getting started

Our plan to help change lives in 2020.

We'll give you a hint... it's the same plan as 2019

We have written over 60 blog posts and each one has a common theme. You. It has always been about you and for the coming year we can't see that changing.

Which school PTFAs are getting on average £43,000 a year 😳😳😳

The ones we have spoken to when they are enquiring about the me:now schools program, are ALWAYS looking for new fundraising opportunities because money is so tight!

Fair Education Alliance

In 2017-18, the average school in London raised £43,000 from donations. In Yorkshire, it was about £13,300.

It's that time of year already and boy did it creep up on us.

The school Christmas fete is a huge fundraising opportunity for a school PTA, but at a time when parents are preparing to shell out for the upcoming festivities, it could seem like just another plea for more cash.

It doesn't have to be...

Over the last couple of weeks, I have found myself back at school, and I've been learning a lot.

I'm 50 years old and still learning... the lessons I have been taught have come from multiple schools, and not just from the teachers.

I've learnt how hard it is for schools to maintain a level of education with funding below what it was in 2008.

I've learnt how repairs and upgrades are put to one side and how bidding for money to provide facilities for education is fraught with unnecessary complications.

I've learnt how hard our teachers and school staff are working because their school can't afford to hire anyone else.

But, I've also seen how parents and teachers are working together to overcome those challenges.

I've seen how PTFA groups strive to raise funds for projects that they know will help with their children's' education.

I come away from each school, knowing that the me:now schools programme will help them raise much-needed funds, and they aren't shy in telling me exactly where they intend to spend it.

The schools program also means that parents and staff are engaging with local small businesses via the me:now app, helping to form bonds between business and school.

Every school I visit is different, but every one of them has its own lesson to teach me.

Many schools across the country are suffering due to the lack of funding and it might seem that they or the PTA are always asking for money.

Parent Teacher Associations play a huge role in raising funds that often pay for breakfast & after-school clubs... a service that enables parents to fit work in around the school day.

The me:now schools affiliate program is a new approach to fundraising, that doesn't hit your pocket and requires minimal effort from the school or PTA.

A 03:44 video that could make a huge difference to your child's school.
