Introducing a reboot of the well known Space Raiders crisp brand! A 1987 snack that is very nostalgic with many adults from their childhood, for this reason they had to be re-released into the snack market due to their low cost and the history behind the name.
Specific consideration had to be made around the around the phrase 'integrated campaign' - considering print media (posters, leaflets), digital (phone/website), interactive design and outdoor methods (guerrilla). All of which would
re-communicate USP (unique selling point) of this product.
I devised a sticker competition enabling children aged between 6-9 year olds. As part of my research, I looked at the hobbies and interests of this target audience. These included socialising with friends in recreational activities such as going to the cinema and shopping amongst other things. Whilst also considering their frequent use of social media and other platforms like this. Also, around this time in their life, they would be interested in collecting things i.e. trading cards and toys.
The campaign would work in the following steps:
1)
Each newly designed packet would contains a sticker with a code, the consumer only has to type in the brand name in the Facebook search bar.
2) Facebook
By clicking on the app link on the cover photo, they will be redirected to the Google Play store and can install the app.
3) App
They then sign in with their social media account and they will be provided with their digital sticker book. They can customise the scenes however they like.
4) Prizes
Each month there will be a prize draw for all of the people who have collected 10 stickers, this then allows them to have a 1 in 5 chance of bagging the best prizes (tablet, hoodie and tickets) 'Imagine going round school in one of these?'
There is also a Print option embedded into the app so that the children can stick it on their bedroom wall or, do with it whatever they fancy!
Everybody wouldn't miss out, as the campaign would be long running, and they are affordable and fun for all!
