I have news.

Having served on the CIPR Cymru Wales committee since 2007 and variously with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations board, council, committees, and working groups since 2016, I have decided to take a (well earned?) break from volunteering to focus on family life and my Scruffy Dog PR advisory and training business.

I will remain as chair of CIPR Cymru until the end of this year and then hand over to the brilliant committee team, led by Mark Woods, Francesca Petty, and Lisa Davies.

I will of course continue to support the Institute as a gobby back-bencher and avid consumer of events and services.

I will also be organising meet-ups with my fellow freelancers, consultants, and ‘teams of one’ from across Wales. Let me know if this is something you’d like to be involved with and what those meet-ups should look like.

And if you’re looking for a CIPR mentor, I have capacity at the moment. Yeah, it seems I’m not very good at not volunteering.

As always, I’ll be around for anyone who wants to pick my brain. Hit me up for a coffee and a convo.
