I enjoyed the Cardiff half so much more this year and though I hoped I could run it faster it was too hot for that nonsense and let the pacers go by.

A massive thankyou my lovely family and friends who came to cheer me on and to for being the best running family I could ever have. Seeing your faces pop up along the course gave me such a boost.

Finished sewing my birthday present this afternoon. It’s another epic, swishy dress.

Well today after being woken at 4am I’m back in my jeans but yesterday I made an effort and threw on my super comfy Lyra dress from absolutely love this pattern, it looks like a complicated dress but the pattern is so easy to follow.

The fabric was designed exclusively for and since then they’ve brought it out in different colour ways and in jersey.

It was so good to be out with my proper camera taking photos last weekend of Nick and my Mum at the SUPBIKERUN event at Llangorse lake.

Nick absolutely smashed his goal times and after a quick dash to the shop and park to bribe kids we managed to catch him running back. There was a laugh from the crowd as I shouted that he was meant to be coming back on his bike. 🤣

So proud of my Mum, and still emotional looking at the shot of her run to the finish line cheered on by her amazing friend and running coach

Finally at the end Mum asked me to wait and take photos of a lady called Shena who she met on the course. She had come down on her own and didn’t have any family with her.

So glad I did, I love capturing moments like these. Shena it looks like you poured your heart and soul into that event. What a brilliant finish

Inspired by the Mélilot shirt made by Lauren from I found the fabric and pattern from A beautiful, soft cotton lawn by .

I made a bit of a mistake by cutting the front pieces for a hidden placket option so added some quick darts to slim down the fullness of the shirt.

Buttons are from my Grandma’s button tin 😍
