🎪 FESTIVALS 2027 GIVE US A SHOUT! 🎪

The Groove Temple is looking for places to land next summer 🔥

A roaming home for live music, spontaneous jams, DJs, dancing, chilling out and a healthy dose of festival nonsense.

We can bring the whole thing, rig, power and instruments, in house musicians and we're self-sufficient and adaptable. From a little mobile rig or acoustic jam space, to a chill-out space, full Groove Temple stretch-tent setup, or a combination of the lot. We can tailor what we bring to suit your festival, space and needs.

A place where people can wander in, pick up an instrument, join a jam, discover someone playing, have a dance, collapse on a sofa... and accidentally stay for six hours.

🔥 Festival organisers, promoters and lovely humans who know somewhere we'd fit give us a shout, tag your favourite festivals below or send us a DM.

This is Sonic Contact 🤎

I've always thought a good soundsystem should rearrange your internal organs a little. Turns out I like my sound healing the same way. 😂

Sound is vibration, and within my 1:1 sessions I can bring that vibration directly into contact with the body.

I use singing bowls placed and played on the fully clothed body, creating a broad physical experience of vibration, alongside weighted tuning forks, which allow me to bring more focused vibration to specific areas.

This is where vibroacoustics gets really interesting.

Low frequency sound and vibration have been explored in research around relaxation, muscular tension and the experience of pain, including research involving people living with chronic pain and fibromyalgia.

I've also recently added 64 Hz and 96 Hz weighted tuning forks to my practice. 64 Hz has an interesting clinical connection too, as this frequency is used when assessing vibration sensation and sensory nerve function.

I might use the forks around areas of muscular tension or physical discomfort, or at points informed by anatomy, nerve and acupressure maps.

But Sonic Contact isn't a separate treatment you need to choose when you book.

Every session is personalised.

We might use bowls on the body, tuning forks, immersive sound, massage, movement or stillness. We notice what you're experiencing, how your body responds and work from there.

Sound you don't just hear. Sound you feel. ✨

✨ 1:1 BOOKINGS ARE OPEN ✨

And the first appointments have already gone 🤎

I've talked quite a bit recently about how I work, but maybe the better question is

Why might you come for a Sonic Bodywork Session?

Maybe your body feels tight, achy or uncomfortable.

Your mind rarely switches off.

You're carrying a lot emotionally and haven't really had the space to process it.

You've been giving a lot of yourself to other people.

You're craving stillness, movement or a chance to reconnect with your body.

Or maybe nothing is particularly “wrong” you just really need some time where absolutely nothing is being asked of you.

🌿 THE SONIARUS SESSION

75 minutes of personalised 1:1 sound and bodywork.

There isn't a set treatment and you don't need to decide what you need before you arrive.

We begin with you, how you're feeling, what's going on in your body and what you'd like from the session. I work intuitively from there.

Your session might be entirely sound-based or we might weave in:

✨ Ayurvedic Yoga Massage: massage combined with assisted stretching, mobilisation, movement and breath. Particularly lovely when the body is feeling tight, stiff or simply in need of movement and touch.

✨ Sonic Massage: singing bowls placed and played on the fully clothed body, allowing the vibration to be felt as well as heard.

✨ Therapeutic tuning forks: bringing more focused vibration to specific points on the body, including points informed by the nerve map.

And sometimes things come up. Sound, touch and stillness can give us space to notice sensations, emotions, thoughts or patterns that we haven't had much room for. There's space to acknowledge and make sense of your experience as we go, without the session becoming talking therapy.

Sometimes it's deeply restful.

Sometimes we work more physically.

Sometimes it goes a little deeper.

The instruments lead. Your body responds. We follow what emerges.

Practising what I offer. 🌿

A long walk with the dogs today.
I've been thinking a lot lately about how easy it is to look for the thing that's going to make us feel better, the treatment, the practice, the answer. But often I find it's much simpler.

Walking. Trees. Fresh air. Moving my body. Letting my thoughts wander without needing to do anything with them.

Sound is a huge part of how I come back to myself, but it isn't the only way. Sometimes it's noticing the rhythm of my feet, the dogs disappearing up the path, the wind through the trees, and giving myself enough space to hear what's actually going on underneath all the noise.

Not everything needs fixing. Sometimes we just need space to notice. I can feel Autumn arriving with it's own medicine of clearing and clarity. Here's a cute picture of Tache my own little bundle of medicine

So what actually is Sonic Bodywork? 🌿

I shared recently what Soniarus means (Welsh for resonant), so I thought I'd explain a little more about what I actually do in a 1:1 session.

For me, sound isn't only something we hear, it's something we can feel and experience through the body.

My sessions don't follow a set treatment. We start with you: how you're feeling, what's going on for you and, if you have one, an intention for the session.

From there I'm led by the instruments and how they interact with you. We might work entirely with sound, or a session might weave together gongs, singing bowls, therapeutic tuning forks, sonic contact, stillness, movement and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

Sometimes bodywork helps the body soften and settle enough to drop more deeply into the sound. There is also space to notice and make sense of whatever arises, physically, emotionally or mentally.

Sometimes it's deeply restful. Sometimes the work goes a little deeper. Sometimes you simply need somewhere to stop and receive.

No two sessions are the same because no two people arrive needing the same thing.

I'm really excited to be opening more opportunities to work with me privately in Pembrokeshire and Tonypandy, South Wales.

🌿 1:1 bookings opening this Friday.

A little appreciation post for Nicholas Bailey , who somehow manages to take the chaotic collection of ideas that fall out of my head and turn them into actual, beautiful things. 😂🌿

From building our geodome frame from scratch using willow from Pembrokeshire, to creating hanging flowers wrapped in moss, helping me turn a patch of woodland into a tiny sanctuary, carrying approximately 700 instruments around, and then co-creating sound with me once it was all done.

I generally provide the enthusiasm and several last-minute “ooooh, what if we…” suggestions. He provides the actual artistic ability and figures out how on earth to make any of it happen. 😂

There’s something really special about creating a space together and then getting to create sound together inside it too.

Not entirely sure what I’d do without him. Probably be sitting in a pile of willow, moss and gongs insisting it was “nearly finished.” 🌿😂

Thank you, Nick. My favourite artist, builder, co-creator and occasional interpreter of whatever is going on inside my brain. ❤️
