✨Mae Sgil Cymru, Cymru Greadigol, BBC Studios Drama Productions a Screen Alliance Wales (SAW) yn partneru i barhau â llwyddiant y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf o ‘Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop’, y Clwstwr Sgiliau BFI i Gymru sy’n cefnogi datblygu gweithlu sector cynhyrchu sgrin y genedl.

Mae’r BFI wedi cyhoeddi cyllid o £11.85m dros dair blynedd i gefnogi datblygu sgiliau a hyfforddiant ar draws canolfannau cynhyrchu allweddol y DU. Mae hyn yn cynnwys £900,000 i Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop, y Clwstwr Sgiliau BFI yng Nghymru. Sgil Cymru, Creative Wales, BBC Studios Drama Productions and Screen Alliance Wales (SAW) partner to continue the success of the last two years of the ‘Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop’, the BFI Skills Cluster for Wales supporting workforce development of the nation’s screen production sector.


The BFI has announced £11.85m funding over three years to support skills development and training across the UK’s key production hubs. This includes £900,000 to Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop, the BFI Skills Cluster in Wales. This BFI National Lottery funding supports organisations working within the UK’s major production hubs, such as Wales, to take the lead on developing and delivering below-the-line skills and training for their areas.

Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop will receive additional funding from Creative Wales and BBC Studios Drama Productions.

This evening, Zoe and Nadine attended the launch event for Screen Craft Guild Cymru at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

This association has been established to ensure that the designers behind the magic on screen are recognised, supported and celebrated. We look forward to seeing what is to come from them in the future and we wish them the very best!

These trainee roles offer the chance to learn on the job, spend time on set and location, and work alongside experienced teams at Casualty’s home in Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff Bay.

Applicants must be Welsh, or have a substantive base in Wales, and be 18 or over at the start of the traineeship.

Current opportunities:

📝 Editorial Trainee
A brilliant entry-level opportunity for anyone passionate about story, scripts, character and the world of Casualty’s editorial department.
Assessment Date: Mid June (in person at Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff)
Contract: 9 months

📍 Trainee Locations Assistant
For those who enjoy being outdoors, working with people and helping make sure filming locations are safe, organised and ready for the crew.
Assessment Date: June 3 (in person at Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff)
Contract: Mid-late June (6 month contract)

💄 Trainee Make-Up Assistant
For budding make-up artists looking to build a career in TV drama and gain hands-on experience with a busy production make-up department.

📱 Social Media Trainee
For social media lovers with an eye for strong digital content, trends and storytelling - supporting content capture, archive use and social-first ideas around a major continuing drama.
