🌼 Project Spotlight: Nature isn’t Neat 🌼
We’re proud to share our work on Nature isn’t Neat — a project focused on raising awareness of the vital role pollinators play, and the simple actions we can all take to support them. These actions don’t just help bees and insects; they contribute to tackling wider challenges such as wildlife decline and the impacts of climate change.
Originally piloted in Monmouth and funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities Fund under the LEADER measure of the Rural Development Programme, the project has since grown steadily and is now expanding into other areas of the county.
A key part of Nature isn’t Neat has been supporting a shift in how the County Council manages grassland across verges, open spaces, and parks — creating space for nature to thrive. With strong public support, changes to grass-cutting regimes have already led to a noticeable increase in wildflowers throughout the spring and summer months.
We led on developing the project’s brand style, ensuring it worked consistently across:
A Code of Practice, Leaflets, On-site signage, Pull-up exhibition stands, a Wildflower guide and information video which you can watch here https://yogicomms.uk/portfolio-items/nature-isnt-neat/
This project is a great example of how clear communication, strong visual identity, and community engagement can help drive meaningful environmental change.
