Building reusable templates has been the most helpful thing I’ve done for my design process, aside from switching to using notion client portals (both thanks to and their amazing resources) 💚

This means that I can streamline every project by not having to repeat the tedious task of creating presentations over and over again, meaning you get to see your brand presentation much sooner! 🕰️

An unused mood board from the start of the year -

This concept embodies a bold and vibrant aesthetic with bright colours, energetic photography direction and clean typography. The purpose of this brand is to empower and provide natural change, so I wanted to communicate this the best that I could through the external look of the brand 🌸

I always supply two completely unique concepts to choose from when I send over my brand presentation, and this happened to be the one that wasn’t chosen for this project. But that doesn’t stop it from being one of my favourites of this year so far! 💚

It’s been a while since I talked about my business and what I can offer, and I’ve also learned a few more skills since then, so I thought I’d reintroduce Winterburn Designs 💚

I’m a freelance graphic designer based in Carlisle offering brand design, brand strategy, social media packages and more. A first peek at KJ Aesthetics 👀

KJ Aesthetics is a cosmetic aesthetics business whose main goal is to provide safe and comfortable care that allows people to achieve their natural transformation goals ✨

Kelly can help people achieve a natural transformation through things like dermaplaning, microneedling, lip fillers and more 🦋

For this branding, it was important to communicate professionalism and femininity with an overall trustworthy medical feel. To achieve this, I decided to go with a soft pink and cream to suggest a gentle and feminine personality, as well as incorporating a deep navy to communicate trust and reliability, and finally a steel grey to create an aspect of cool neutrality and balance 🌸

The fonts chosen for this project were chosen not only for their incredible legibility and accessibility, but to create a luxurious and sleek look while maintaining that friendly and approachable feel. Both Comfortaa and Montserrat are sans-serifs with slightly different styles, but make the perfect team for this particular brand ✍🏻

Overall, KJ Aesthetics is a brand that conveys a comforting feminine presence while maintaining that professional and trustworthy demeanour, which perfectly encapsulates the personality of the owner and the experience she can provide 💕

What could my new passion project be 👀

❗️VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT❗️

***SAVE THE BITT'S PARK HOUSE***

Dear people of Carlisle, we need to speak up.

We all know and LOVE this beautiful house in Bitt's Park.

Unfortunately, the upkeep of this council owned building has been pushed and pushed to the back of the to-so list.

In fairness to them, budgets have been steadily cut all over the country.

But, it has been bumped up the list for 2025, and the powers that be have to make a plan of what to do.

Sadly, demolition is up there near the top of the list.

However, there is a team at Carlisle College that wants to use (and save) the building.

They would like to use the house for hands-on training for learners within the construction industry. They want to re-fit it (at no cost to the Council), use it for practical assessments, and in time, they want to extend the building and add a cafe and more.

So, my hope is, if enough people vote on this poll, the Council can't ignore what the Carlisle people want.

The Carlisle people DO NOT WANT THIS HOUSE DEMOLISHED.
