π€ I tested 4 AI blog writing tools so you don't have to.
Jasper. Surfer SEO. Marblism. Soro.
Each one promised to save time, rank on Google, and produce content at scale. I ran the same briefs through all four and watched closely.
Here's what I actually found:
β Loads of words β zero intent
β American spellings on UK briefs
β Keywords mentioned but never targeted properly
β Content that covers topics without actually helping anyone
β Nothing Google would rank, nothing a customer would read twice
The problem isn't the speed. It's that these tools treat blog writing like a keyword distribution exercise. Throw the right terms in, hit the word count, job done.
But Google in 2026 doesn't reward that. It rewards content written by someone who actually knows the subject, understands the reader, and answers their question properly.
That's the difference between a blog that sits on your site doing nothing and one that brings in enquiries every week.
We've just published a full breakdown on the blog β covering exactly what went wrong with each tool and why intent matters more than volume.
