So glad I can now post this! - Such a fantastic project to part of!

Woburn Safari Park have opened an industry leading, first of its kind in the country, sensory education centre. Designed to create a truly inclusive space where visitors with disabilities can learn, explore, and engage through experience.

This is a major step forward in accessible education within visitor attractions. SENse the Safari is a space built not just to inform, but to be felt, understood and experienced by all.

We were proud to support this project with the design and production of our Touchstone product, sensory, tactile and braille signage.

Delivered in under 2 weeks from initial call to dedicated delivery, the signage includes raised tactile print, textured animal graphics, and fully compliant braille.

To push the sensory experience further, we also developed bespoke elements including mounting a replica tortoise shell, faux fur, and rubberised material finishes, ensuring every detail supports interaction and accessibility.

From concept and R&D through to sign off and delivery, all completed in under 14 days.

When Signage is designed, those with good eyesight get to experience the full impact. Colours, Materials, finishes and the emotion a space is meant to create.

For those who are visually impaired? Too often they don’t.

Instead, they are presented with a standard tactile and braille panel. Functional and compliant, but disconnected from the brand, the environment, and the experience everyone else enjoys.

We don’t think that’s good enough.

At Airbourne Graphics & Signs we have spent real time in properly understanding braille and tactile signage, not just the rules, but how it’s read, touched, and experienced.

Touchstone is our response. An elevated print approach to braille and tactile signage. Designed in line with recognised accessibility standards and guidance, Touchstone follows established best practice, ensuring braille and tactile information remains clear, effective, durable, and fully BS8300 compliant, without feeling like an afterthought.

It allows brand Identity, raised textures, and raised printed detail to be built into the sign, communicating through touch as well as sight.
