If you are here reading this, then you already know that you want to start a business or have started a business and require some support to write or create your business plan.

This short post exists to help you to be clear on why having a business plan is beneficial to you at the early stages or conception of your business idea.

A Business Plan is generally for business owners to use as a tool to help them to:

✅ Explore their business idea or business to see whether it is serviceable, and commercially viable to them and the end user.

✅ It will help to place ideas, thoughts and research into an organised and structured format, which will help to give direction.

✅ It will enable business owners to explore all facets of the business, with the ability to mitigate threats and weaknesses, any pitfalls or scenarios that could cause the business harm or impact on the future success of the business.

✅ It enables the exploration of the business strategy, objectives, targets, goals, purpose and test motivations for building the business and help to clarify this to potential stakeholders, staff or business partners and allow for continued review, tracking and monitoring against set objectives.

✅ It can help you to save time and money.

‘Hi all,

An amazing opportunity for young Black entrepreneurs.

If you have a young Black person around you with a business or business idea, then this is an opportunity that they should take up.

Blueprint For All (formerly the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust), have a programme for them.

The purpose of this programme is to:

1. Enable them to overcome practical barriers
2. Help them secure valuable resources
3. Provide support in starting their own business
4. Encourage an entrepreneurial mindset that will help young people thrive in both digital and real-world environments

Who can apply?

* Must be aged 16-25
* Must be available to attend all workshops and masterclasses in July (please see timetable on their website)

After the programme, a participant will be selected to receive an innovation award of £2,300 which can be used to support the development of their entrepreneurial plans.
