A little creation just for the pure joy of it ✨

There are often times when I’m sat at my computer pootling along with my day and I have to pinch myself, how fortunate am I to be doing this thing that I love AND getting paid for it 🙏🏼

But there are also those days when the ideas don’t flow, the clock is ticking and those pesky little monkeys of self-doubt start chirping in.

I’ve realised over the years that creative flow isn’t just one of those things that can be turned on like a tap, it has to be nurtured, fed with inspiration and allowed to roam free once in a while.

This weekend I set an intention that I would start making time to create more just for the pure joy of it. So, with no plan other than to enjoy myself, i put the tunes on, got out the PVA glue and many many scraps of paper I’ve been hoarding (much to the irritation of my dear partner) and got messy… and the result was a joyful afternoon well spent 💞

I loved learning more about Equicantis, an amazing equine and canine exercise prescription app. I created a 2min promo video and several short-form clips for use on their social channels that introduced the app, showcased the key features and celebrated their customer feedback.

Supporting creative and digital teams is what I love to do.

When Culture Club came to me with a vision for their amazing membership platform, they had a wireframe and lose guidelines to work with.
I worked closely with their team to adapt their guidelines to work online, providing page designs and preparing all assets ready for the development team to do their magic.

How do you ‘up the karma quota?’ ✨

For me having a positive mindset goes hand in hand with tapping into my creative energy. I know that when I am not in a good headspace, I don’t get enthusiastic about the project I’m working on and inspiration doesn’t flow easily.

Maintaining this is a constant work in progress and I have a few practices I follow on a daily basis:
🙏🏼 Daily gratitude practice (this one is the ultimate game changer)
🤸🏼‍♂️ Movement to music (preferably at a LOUD volume)
🧘🏼‍♀️ Meditation (to put a stop to my busy brain chatter)
🙌🏼 Visioning & affirmations

I know when I do these my days flow that much easier and I’m more equip to deal with whatever challenges may come my way
