That's a direct quote from one of the complaints behind this week's £370,000 Information Commissioner's Office fine.

Two home improvement companies, Thermotech Wall and Loft Surveys Ltd and Jacksons Marketing Ltd, called hundreds of thousands of TPS-registered numbers about loft insulation, falsely claiming their details had come from a government scheme and that their existing insulation was a health hazard.

Other complaints described disabled and elderly callers being contacted multiple times a day, even after asking for it to stop.
