Did you know the Coca-Cola logo was designed by a bookkeeper?
In 1886, Frank Mason Robinson suggested the name “Coca-Cola” to pharmacist John Pemberton, purely for the catchy double-C alliteration. He then hand-drew the iconic Spencerian script logo that still appears on billions of bottles today.
Robinson also pioneered free coupons and early newspaper ads that helped launch the brand. The flowing black script later gained its famous red-and-white look and was standardized in 1923. Almost 140 years later, it remains one of the most recognized logos on Earth.
A quiet office worker’s pen stroke became a global icon.
