A must-see exhibition created by Victoria Kelly. 'The Space Between Us' showcases a series of film portraits from Zambia exploring culture, connection, and belonging.
Helping Victoria produce some of the prints has been great! Very strong photographic work that needs to be seen.

A perfect gift for someone who enjoys getting creative, not only can cyanotype be used for photographic purposes, you can print the impression of anything, flowers, leaves, objects found outside or around the house, the possibilities are endless.
Local photographer and alternative process printer .blueprintfactory has made a kit for everyone, with everything included, it is so easy to use. This is a perfect gift for Christmas or birthdays or for yourself.
We used this kit to show what can be done with it. Using it with digital negatives and flowers, we achieved very nice results. And it was so much fun doing them! There is even postcards inside to print on, what a cool way to send a message to someone!

*New Harman Phoenix 2*

We rated this film at 100 ISO, which gave better results with shadow detail and overall negative. We found shooting at 200 ISO, and the negatives were a bit thin.

The colours have a warm glow to them, and there is a slight crossover of colour between highlights and shadows. There is a noticeable difference in quality from Harmans first iteration of Phoenix. The grain is also a lot better than before but needs a medium to hi-res scan for best results. This film gives a fun and exciting feel to 35mm with its deep purple hue of the developed negatives and the warm golden glow of the scans and prints.

Definitely grab yourself a roll and see what you can get out of it, we have plenty of stock in our fridge, and there are lots of stickers to grab, too!

It’s back! Cobalt’s Capture a Moment Photography Competition 2025 open 1st April – 31st July 2025
Get out and about with your camera and send us your best images.
Twelve winning images will be published in Cobalt’s 2026 calendar and an exhibition will be held in the autumn to showcase the winners and the Judge’s shortlist.
What’s more, proceeds are supporting a specialist cancer nurse for teenager and young adults. It’s just £2 per image to enter, and free for Under 16’s.

We welcome entries from smartphones or cameras. And this year’s sponsors have donated great prizes worth over £1,000.

Testing the Harman Phoenix 35mm film, one of the newest colour negative films on the market all made in tge UK. Being Harman's first iteration of this film we found it to be quite warm and creative for those who enjoy a traditional old look to their photos. Shooting this film in strong sun light you will notice the hilation around highlights and low shadow detail making strong lighting conditions glare and bleed and low light conditions to be thin weak negatives. So give it a try and see what situations you cn make it work in to create a timeless feel! Here are a few of our best shots!!
