🌟 OUT TOMORROW 🌟

UK based four-piece country band Wood Burnt Red have announced the details of their stunning new single ‘Simple Place’ which is a powerful reminder that as a society we are slipping and losing sight of what really matters; humans helping one another and loving thy neighbour.

The track features striking lyrics such as “what happened to it takes a village // the system is broken // nothing but violence // how are we supposed to raise our kids” It is a stark reminder of the darkness we are currently seeing around us but also serves as a gentle wake-up that we can build those soft places to land within our own communities and create loving atmospheres where we are planted.

It is a bold lyrical take and offers something completely fresh from Wood Burnt Red who have shown that they are not afraid to speak about the hard truths and harsh realities. They aren’t shying away from current world affairs and are instead boldly standing up for love and light. Country music is all about truth, and the Brit band are proving that this has not been lost.

Throughout the record Ellie Marie effortlessly weaves pop sensibilities throughout her natural cowgirl vibes making for a vibrant collection of songs that embody everything she stands for as an artist. 🌟 NEXT FRIDAY 🌟

On 15th August, Sarah Louise is set to release her new single, “Place to Be”. Written in 2021, Place to be is one of the most personal songs written by the Suffolk-based singer-songwriter.

“I was feeling completely overwhelmed… I pulled over in my car and watched the sunset. Something about that sky made me stop and breathe. I picked up my guitar and notebook, and the first verse just poured out. It felt like the start of something really special, but I never quite finished it… until now.”

Earlier this year, a lovely fan from Woodbridge found the rough version of the song on YouTube and messaged Sarah Louise to say how much it meant to them. They said that it captured the essence of who she was as an artist and that encouragement was exactly what she needed to revisit the track, and make it the final version that you’ll hear today.

“Releasing this felt like opening the door to a sacred space. I hope people feel safe, seen, and gently held when they hear it.”

A self-taught talent, she performs regularly in the south-west and in January 2025, released her debut EP, “No Need for Words” which received support from UK Country Radio and Country Line Radio. Just because she’s new doesn’t mean she’s any less brilliant… you’re going to want to stick around and watch her make her mark on the scene in the UK, and worldwide.

“Rock Bottom is a song that I wrote after going through a difficult breakup, it’s about that gut-punch moment when you see the person who broke your heart for the first time and realise you’re still standing in the wreckage. I think everyone will be able to relate to it somehow.” 💖
