It is with deep sadness that I reflect on the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. a man whose voice, courage, and conviction shaped generations.
Reverend Jackson was more than a political figure. He was a civil rights pioneer, a presidential candidate, a global advocate for justice, and a symbol of resilience. From standing alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to building the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, his life was dedicated to equality, dignity, and opportunity for all
For me personally, having the opportunity to interview him for FVM -Magazine remains one of the true highlights of my career.
To sit across from a man whose words helped move nations whose presence carried decades of struggle, triumph, and unwavering belief was both humbling and inspiring.
He spoke with clarity, purpose, and warmth. What struck me most was not just his history, but his continued passion for the future. Even after everything he had achieved, he was still focused on what more could be done.
Moments like that remind you why storytelling matters. Why platforms matter. Why giving space to voices of impact matters.
That interview was not just another feature it was a privilege. A conversation I will never forget.
My thoughts are with his family, friends, and the countless communities around the world who were touched by his work.
