Happy Birthday to our Founder and Creative Director, Natalie!

Nearly 23 years ago, Natalie founded CRUSH with a simple idea: that businesses deserved better from their creative partners. More care, more honesty and work that genuinely helps brands grow. That spirit still shapes everything we do today.

What began as one designer determined to do things differently has grown into a trusted creative agency part of the 1% of those female-founded in our industry. Today, we are proud to support organisations across the UK and beyond.

A school saved from closure. A remarkable story to share.

When S. Anselm's School school miraculously avoided closure thanks to a parent-led fundraiser, they knew that they needed to come back better, stronger and, ultimately, ready for the future.

Along with a developed brand, we gave the school a website that truly does justice to what makes them so special:

A place where childhood is celebrated. Where children can explore and dare to try things.

Last week, Natalie and Bea from the CRUSH team had the pleasure of attending Fonetti’s Awards Ceremony for the 2025 National

Hosted by Brand Ambassador (!!), the day was all about celebrating the winners of last summer's reading challenge. Children, parents, teachers, schools, businesses – all united in a shared mission to boost reading literacy for children across the nation.

Thank you to The Derbyshire Times for including CRUSH founder, Natalie Burkinshaw in their latest Destination Chesterfield Champions column.

The end of the year always brings about the opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved over the past year, but for Natalie, who has run CRUSH for over 22 years, looking back goes a little deeper.

The column focuses on primarily on Chesterfield, and how running CRUSH in the town benefits us as a company.

Although Natalie originally set-up CRUSH in Nottingham, she moved to Chesterfield the year after. After many happy years in the town centre, Post-COVID we moved from our central position to a purpose built studio in Cutthorpe, on the outskirts of Chesterfield. This short re-location gives us the best of both worlds – the town and all it’s amenities plus the stunning landscape as a backdrop for our day-to-day creative work.

2025 has been the Year of Awards for CRUSH.

As a small, independent studio based in the Midlands, we always felt large-scale industry recognition would be out of reach for us.

Thankfully, we were wrong.

For the first time in 22+ years, this year we finally started entering our branding and design projects into awards, winning major recognition from the likes of German Design Council and Transform Awards Europe for the Ziemann Holvrieka rebrand.

We couldn't be prouder 👏
