Sometimes the best ideas are staring you in the face, licking your ear and trying to mount your leg like an excited puppy. Che Barnes is a Gender Diversity and Inclusion Trainer - helping organisations bridge their knowledge gap on Gender Equality, inc intersex, transgender & non-binary. Science based talks, workshops & online course. As Che was explaining how revolutionary her approach was, I was grinning to myself, because all I could think to ask was 'have you got a beret?' I could see a version of her as the revolutionary Che Guevara, one of the most powerful revolutionary icons of the 20th century. I could see the t-shirts, the posters and the graffiti already, but we didn't want to be perceived as confrontational and needed to represent diversity and Che's fun personality and professional approach to a radical subject that can be difficult for some people to understand. So the next leap was to merge with another iconic style of the 20th century, Andy Warhol's Marilyn portrait and his technique of repetition using different colours on each screen print version and BOOM! something original, edgy, fun, revolutionary was born.
