We’ve had a few comments recently about our artwork and the use of AI, so we thought we’d clear things up.
Yes — our images are either created or enhanced using AI.
We’ve been told that this means they’re “not really art”, and that “if we were proud of the images, we’d tell people they were AI.”
Well… we are telling you. 😊
Here’s how it actually works.
Let’s take a Ford Mustang as an example. We start with an original vehicle image and then use AI image-enhancement tools to develop and transform it — making the image more dramatic, distinctive and, quite simply, a bit more awesome.
We then prepare the artwork for print and produce it as a physical piece of wall art.
And that’s it.
There’s no mystery, no attempt to disguise what we do, and certainly no secret sweatshop of artists hidden away in the back room furiously painting Mustangs all day! 😂
We create artwork that we like and, hopefully, that you like too.
If you love it and want one on your wall — fantastic, we’d love to make one for you.
If it’s not your thing, that’s absolutely fine too. There are some incredibly talented traditional artists out there, and if commissioning an original hand-painted piece is what you’re looking for, then we genuinely think that’s brilliant.
Different approaches. Different styles. Different tastes.
What we don't think is necessary, however, is turning those differences into unpleasant or personal comments.
There is more than enough negativity and unpleasant behaviour in the world already. We’d rather spend our time creating things that make people smile, celebrating amazing cars and producing artwork that people are proud to put on their walls.
So, yes — our artwork uses AI.
We’re not hiding it. We’re not ashamed of it. It’s simply one of the tools we use to create our artwork.
If you like it, buy it.
If you don't, don't.
No hard feelings.
We’ll just carry on doing what we enjoy
