Update on the Burnley Outdoor Town project.

Since August 800+ people in Burnley have shared their opinions about things to do outside around Burnley and over 450 have joined the Burnley Community Data Co-op to keep talking. Come the 7th October, we will be gathering everyone's thoughts and passing them on to South West Burnley Together, Burnley Leisure and Burnley Together for them to decide which ones to bring to life in 2023.
Up until then anyone can still get involved...

This is all brilliant news and we will keep you informed what happens next regards 2023.

In the meantime, we can confirm that everyone's participation in this project has generated £1500 which the Co-op will be giving to community projects in and around Burnley. We have sent all our Burnley members an email asking for nominations and will be running a vote in October, with the money being distributed in November.
If you are a member and haven't responded, then find the email and get back to us!!

We'd just like to say well done everyone, what a great effort!
This is proof that a community can come together, have their say, and create an immediate and direct impact by creating cash for their community. There is NO other research business doing this, we're unique and should be very chuffed with ourselves!

If there are any organisations out there that want to talk to people in Burnley and in the process make a financial contribution to local community projects, you know where to come...

Hi - the Community Data Co-op has been asked to talk to an arts and culture network about how they can better represent and serve all communities across Cumbria.
We're doing it for free and would love to get your opinions to share with them - any chance you can help and spare 5 mins to share your thoughts?
If so, just click here - https://bit.ly/WhatsCultureToYou.
We’ll share back your thoughts early next week on our website and social media platforms.
Thanks a lot.

We are running a community insight project in South West Burnley, working with South West Burnley Together, Burnley Youth Theatre and Together an Active Future gathering ideas from people to then create a series of activities which encourages more people to make use of the great outdoor spaces here in Burnley and Padiham.

It's a 3-year project funded by Together an Active Future. So real, and with cash to action what we find out.

So far 300 people have given us their feedback, with 200 joining the Burnley Community Data Co-op to carry on the conversation.
The good news is everyone who has joined the Co-op gets to vote on which local community project(s) receive a share of the £1500 profit we will make from doing this research.
That's called an instant payback!

Want your say?
We want more people to get involved, from all genders and backgrounds, - and particularly from the blokes out there!
If you are not a bloke, please join in and then help out by getting your partner, man, husband, brother, uncle, pal to join in too by sharing this link with them: https://bit.ly/BurnleyOutdoorTown
Blokes - come on, don't be shy!
Everyone else please join in too.

Some interesting things that’ve come to light so far:

1. 35% of you feel a sense of pride about Burnley and Padiham's outdoor spaces, but that leaves 65% not so sure. The question is what needs to change to create more pride about where you live.

2. The most popular themes for getting outside are Summer Cooking and Float Away, making more of canals and waterways. Food for thought in 2023!

3. The thing everyone agrees on is there needs to be more things to do outdoors, in any weather. So we need to get our thinking caps on what they might be…

Here's where you can share your opnions. It won't take long! ➡️ https://bit.ly/BurnleyOutdoorTown ⬅️

Enjoy the rest of the summer, spread the word and remember to sign up to the Burnley Data Co-op, and have your say on where £1500 should be spent in your community.

Thanks.
