This week we organised Visit Essex's annual press day, taking a look at some of the county's food and drink heroes.

Wilkin & Sons Ltd. kindly hosted a very special press tour of the farm and jam factory, before treating our guests to a delicious afternoon tea in their pretty Secret Garden.

We then travelled over to Tuffon Hall for a tour of their award-winning vineyard, stunning glamping retreats, farmhouse stay and historical wedding venue. The team invited everyone to a w**e tasting session, enjoying the taste of Tuffon Hall's spectacular white, rose and sparkling w**es.

Film tourism is on the rise and Epping Ongar Railway are looking forward to welcoming many more tourists onto their trains.

The press event was a chance for the hardworking people behind the scenes to tell their story and step into the limelight.

It was also a chance for BBC Look East, BBC Essex and many other media outlets to share the story.

Practical Magic 2 is in cinemas this September.

We've been shortlisted for the East Anglian Marketing Awards!

Our campaign for Explore Essex and the new Pete Wicks Dog Walking Trail has been shortlisted for the best storytelling award.

It was an amazing campaign which hit the headlines all over the world. It also got a few tails wagging too!

Yesterday we treated the press to an amazing day exploring The Suffolk Coast - East Suffolk Tourism.

The team spent the day fine dining, foraging, botanical tea making, gin tasting, plus of course sea swims and a sauna!

As part of our highlight on destination marketing, today we're showcasing our coverage on a real hidden gem.

Beccles is a beautiful market town tucked away in the Waveney valley on the Suffolk/Norfolk border.

It offers so much for the visitor, independent stores on its High Street, great eateries, plus amazing places to stay, such as a floating lodge by the water's edge.

When we sent this reporter from the Daily Express, she loved the place so much she was keen to showcase it not just as a tourist destination, but also as a great place to live.
