Yesterday we treated the press to an amazing day exploring The Suffolk Coast - East Suffolk Tourism.

The team spent the day fine dining, foraging, botanical tea making, gin tasting, plus of course sea swims and a sauna!

As part of our highlight on destination marketing, today we're showcasing our coverage on a real hidden gem.

Beccles is a beautiful market town tucked away in the Waveney valley on the Suffolk/Norfolk border.

It offers so much for the visitor, independent stores on its High Street, great eateries, plus amazing places to stay, such as a floating lodge by the water's edge.

When we sent this reporter from the Daily Express, she loved the place so much she was keen to showcase it not just as a tourist destination, but also as a great place to live.

At Big Wave PR we work a lot in destination marketing.

Ahead of the summer season we've been working hard to put a lot of destinations on the map.

In a series of posts we want to share the standout coverage we've gained in national newspapers.

Halesworth Ale Day you were amazing!

Ale, live music, shopping, beer tastings, plus dwile flonking (...what do you mean you don't know what this is!), surely the perfect day out?

We have so enjoyed working on Halesworth's second ale day. It's the most pretty market town with a great community vibe.

The event has been put together by the amazing Kelly Parker at Halesworth Town Council.

It's fun, it's friendly and it keeps people heading to their High Street for a great get-together - so important.

We've loved finding the stories that make this festival so unique, from dwile flonking to the people behind the ales, there's been so many unique hooks, which has helped us gain so much media coverage.

The countdown is on for this year's Halesworth Ale Day!

We've loved working on this event, there's been so many stories to uncover. From the art of dwile flonking - who knew chucking a rag, soaked in ale, was a thing! To new ales being brewed and an extra special art competition.

We've set-up interviews with BBC Suffolk, gained previews in local press and have a number of influencers lined up to share their experiences. There's also much more to come - keep those eyes peeled!!

The day will be full of fun with drinks markets and tastings, historical walks and live music, all set within Halesworth.

So why not pop along this Saturday and raise a glass to one of Suffolk's most fabulous market towns? Cheers!

Have you ever employed someone who was in care?

Thanks to our work with the Essex Year of Opportunity, our eyes were really opened to how care leavers have to navigate the world of work and training.

Recently, we launched this exhibition, 'The Unseen - A Lens on our Journey'. It's a powerful series of images which brings to life experiences of being in care.

Each item illustrates something that a care leaver held close to them, plus a glimpse into their story.

Yesterday we launched Visit Essex's staycation campaign 'This is Essex'.

We're proud to promote what our county has to offer and the diversity of things to see and do.

This year we're asking visitors 'Which Essex would you choose?

- Adrenaline rush or wildlife hush – Riding the waves at Lee Valley White Water Centre or heading out on a seal watching tour along the Essex coast.

- Resort buzz or rustic bliss – Getting together with the family at a holiday park or relaxing in the countryside at a glamping escape.

Getting young people into training and employment has been big news lately, that's why we're so pleased to have launched Essex Year of Opportunity's 'Careers Ambassadors'.

An amazing group of people from Essex have stepped forward to showcase their career and their real life route into their job.

From spacecraft engineers to firefighters they all shine a light on the many different professions on offer to young people in Essex.
