Hello lovely people...

If you live in Tendring, this one is for you. Summit - TMHS are looking for people to complete a survey about booking GP appointments.

The independent survey asks how local residents access GP services, particularly since many surgeries introduced online booking systems. The survey is open until Tuesday 30th June.

Whether booking an appointment has been straightforward or difficult, your feedback can help SUMMIT better understand what local people are experiencing and what improvements may be needed. The survey takes just 2-3 minutes to complete and can be submitted anonymously.

Take part here:

Prefer another way to share your views?

You are also welcome to contact SUMMIT directly at [email protected] or by calling 01255 429778. They can send you a printed copy of the survey with a stamped addressed envelope, provide an easy read version, or talk through the questions with you over the phone if that would be more helpful.

Your feedback will directly shape a report reflecting the experiences of local people and support the future development of SUMMIT services to better help people access healthcare in Tendring.

Please share this post with anyone who may be interested in taking part.

Do you live in Tendring and have tried to book a GP appointment in the last 12 months?

We would love to hear from you.

Our independent survey exploring how local residents access GP services, particularly since many surgeries introduced online booking systems, will close on Tuesday 30th June. But there’s still time to get involved.

More than 100 people from across Tendring have already taken part, telling us what works well, what difficulties they have encountered, who may be struggling most with these changes, and what could be done to make access fairer and more inclusive for everyone.

Whether booking an appointment has been straightforward or difficult, your feedback can help us better understand what local people are experiencing and what improvements may be needed. The survey takes just 2-3 minutes to complete and can be submitted anonymously.

Today was exciting as our Tiptoe Creatives merch arrived!

All of the Tiptoe Creatives members will receive their own welcome pack and journals.

A giant thank you to Gosh for going above and beyond to create these. They look beautiful and Tiptoe loves them (despite her grumpy face!)

Tomorrow is the first session, supporting people in Clacton-on-Sea to explore journaling for wellbeing. A huge thank you to Summit - TMHS Coastal Lives Foundation for funding these groups.

Let the journaling begin!

P.S. Photos and videos of the journals and welcome packs for Tiptoe Creatives. Cat not included 😆

Spotted this in the local pub the other day. Loving this from Campaign Against Living Miserably, a great way to raise awareness of the importance of mental health while socialising at your local.

Tiptoe Creatives launches next week and today is the last chance to register to join a group!

There are two groups. One is for people living with a mental health condition and one is for people living with Autism.

The sessions support people to try different journaling techniques and explore themes such as mindfulness and self-expression.

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Reuby’s Salt Beef & Cheesecake Bar with the lovely Anna Mae from Boho Open mic to talk about the forthcoming Essex Book Festival.

I'd highly recommend this gorgeous gem in Clacton-on-Sea. The Salt Beef lived up to it's reputation and the cheesecake was divine.

If you're free, do come along to the Art:Up! Homecoming Poetry Reading And Open Mic which is happening as part of Clacton Rocks on Saturday 20 June from 4pm at Reuby's. It's free entry, but tickets are available at https://essexbookfestival.org.uk/event/artup-homecoming-poetry-reading-and-open-mic/

See you there!

Yesterday I took a day off for a family picnic at Walton-on-the-Naze. I even went for a swim in the sea!

Living on the coast is so lovely, especially during Summer. But we face so many challenges as a community. That's why I love being part of the Coastal Lives Foundation at Summit - TMHS.

The Coastal Lives Foundation is all about improving the lives of people in Tendring with long-term conditions. By working in partnership with local charities and community organisations, it funds grassroots initiatives that offer practical support and services to those who need them most.
