This is exactly the type of post I would create for an Airbnb, holiday cottage or boutique accommodation brand.

Notice how none of the images show the entire property. Instead, I’ve focused on close-up details, soft textures, warm lighting and carefully selected corners of the space.

Why? Because people don’t just book accommodation based on bedrooms and square footage. They book based on how they imagine they’ll feel when they’re there.

This feels slightly ironic considering I work in marketing.

But I think this is one of the most honest conversations a self-employed business owner can have. When you spend your days helping other businesses stay visible online, it's surprisingly easy for your own marketing to end up at the bottom of the priority list. And that's exactly what's happened to me.

What's important to say is this: I haven't missed my clients' strategies. I haven't disappeared from their businesses. Their content has still been planned, created, posted and managed consistently because when someone trusts me with their visibility, I take that seriously.

But my own content? That's another story.

Like many business owners, I've been juggling client work, admin, deadlines, communication and content creation. Somewhere along the way, my own consistency slipped, and the numbers on this page reflect that.
Not because I don't know what works. Because consistency matters. Even for people who work in the industry.
This is exactly why I understand so many business owners. Most people aren't inconsistent because they're lazy. They're inconsistent because they're busy, overwhelmed and trying to wear every hat in the business.
So here's my public accountability post.

These are my starting numbers (see the final slide). Over the next 30 days, I'm committing to showing up consistently, engaging intentionally and treating my own marketing with the same commitment I give my clients.
At the end of June, I'll share the results honestly and we'll see what consistency can actually do for visibility, reach and engagement.

People see the Instagram post go live, the enquiries being answered, the business showing up consistently online, the organised diary, the polished brand presence but they don’t see everything happening quietly in the background to make that possible.

They don’t see the late-night message replies.
The content plans built weeks in advance.
The last-minute fixes before something becomes a problem.
The captions rewritten three times so they actually sound like the brand.
The guest communication.
The listing updates.
The inbox management.
The strategy adjustments happening constantly behind the scenes.

A huge part of what I do isn’t flashy. It’s creating structure, consistency and breathing room for business owners who are trying to hold everything together at once.

The goal was never just to “post on social media”. It’s to make your business feel supported properly, so things continue moving even when you’re busy doing everything else.

The best support often goes unnoticed because everything simply feels easier… calmer… more handled.

Because the way a holiday let needs to show up online is completely different to a wedding supplier. A restaurant doesn’t need the same strategy as a personal brand. And even within the same industry, no two businesses are at the same stage, have the same goals, or need the same level of support.
