You donā€™t need the biggest wedding, the latest trend or every tradition.

You just need to create a day that feels like you two.

But hereā€™s the thing: you donā€™t have to give every guest a plus one just because theyā€™re in a relationship.

If your best mate has been seeing someone for three weeks, that doesnā€™t automatically mean you need to add another person to your guest list (and budget!).

Your venue has a capacity. Your budget has a limit. And ultimately, itā€™s your wedding.

That doesnā€™t mean you canā€™t make exceptions, but donā€™t feel pressured into inviting people you donā€™t know just to avoid feeling guilty.

The key is finding out exactly what restrictions your venue has before you book your entertainment.

Ask:
ā€¢ What time does amplified music have to stop?
ā€¢ Is there a sound limiter?
ā€¢ What is the maximum dB?
ā€¢ Can the band/DJ work within those restrictions?

Then tell your band or DJ before you book them. The right supplier will know how to work with the venue and plan the evening around the restrictions. (bluediamondentertainment.co.uk)

And remember, a sound curfew isnā€™t always the same as your venueā€™s closing timeā€¦ there may still be options for keeping the party going afterwards, depending on the venueā€™s rules.

Couples spend months choosing the perfect wedding cakeā€¦ only to realise they never actually got to eat it! šŸ˜­

Everyone always says, ā€œMake sure you over-cater.ā€

But sometimes, that means your guests enjoy every last slice while the two people who paid for it miss out.

Our advice?

Ask someone you trust to put a couple of slices aside for you before the evening gets too busy. Youā€™ll thank yourself later! šŸ¤
