Good luck to our colleagues Adam Manning and Paul Suart who are on comms duty for the Westfield Health British Transplant Games over the next four days 👏

The Games sees transplant recipients, live donors and donor families competing across 26 different sports to celebrate the gift of life.

It’s already been a mammoth effort by the team who have secured participants and stakeholders media coverage, including;

📺 A 7-minute segment on BBC Breakfast, to add to Channel 5 News last

🎙️ Interviews on Times Radio and BBC Radio Scotland

🗞️ Regional coverage across the UK, from the Crediton Courier to ITV Tynes Tees

Today, the team will be hosting live segments from the opening ceremony with BBC Look North and ITV Calendar, as well as a four show with BBC Radio Sheffield tomorrow.

All important work as we do our bit to help the Games in its efforts to celebrate the gift of life, and to get the general public talking about supporting organ donation.

Unfortunately Paul Suart was too busy to have a photo taken with Adam Manning 🤣 – let the Games begin!

Two years on from Labour’s landslide general election victory, PLMR’s first MRP poll since Keir Starmer’s resignation points to a shifting political picture.
Central to this are signs of progress for Labour and a potential “Burnham bounce”, with the former Mayor of Manchester expected to take the Labour leadership.
The model projects Labour re-emerging as the largest party on 217 seats, despite sitting level with Reform UK on 22% of the vote. The Conservatives are forecast to be close behind on 20%.
As recently as June last year, Nigel Farage's party were on track to win 65 of the 71 parliamentary seats in Birmingham, the Black Country, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
Reform remains the best supported party in the region, but its share of the vote has dropped significantly.

We’re proud to announce a major milestone for PLMR Midlands.
After nearly 30 years in the region, we’ve moved into Friars House in the heart of Coventry city centre.
Led by Rebecca Langton and Rob Milne, the team continues to support clients across a variety of sectors including planning, regeneration, infrastructure, and tourism and hospitality.
Rebecca, Board Director and Head of Planning, Built Environment & the Midlands, said: “This move to modern office space in Coventry city centre reflects our ambition to grow PLMR Midlands.
“Having our base in the centre of that growth allows us to better support our clients and strengthen our regional impact.”
The Midlands continues to be a key driver of PLMR’s growth and we’re excited to be right at the centre of it.

⚽️ The World Cup can only mean one thing at PLMR Midlands, and that’s a trip down memory lane with our ‘psychic animal’ PR stunts for our client Shakespeare's England and their members!

🐐For last year’s Women’s Football European Championships, we visited All Things Wild to meet ‘Russo’ the pygmy goat, whose score predictions formed part of the official build-up on the BBC Sport website to England’s opener against France, among other national titles.

🦙Then for the Men’s World Cup in 2022, we ventured out to Fairytale Farm where Alfie the alpaca predicted how England and Wales would fare – with coverage landing across a variety of national newspapers, and even ended up with a live appearance on ITV’s This Morning!

Classic newsjacking PR that generated great profile for both businesses.
