⚽️ The World Cup can only mean one thing at PLMR Midlands, and that’s a trip down memory lane with our ‘psychic animal’ PR stunts for our client Shakespeare's England and their members!

🐐For last year’s Women’s Football European Championships, we visited All Things Wild to meet ‘Russo’ the pygmy goat, whose score predictions formed part of the official build-up on the BBC Sport website to England’s opener against France, among other national titles.

🦙Then for the Men’s World Cup in 2022, we ventured out to Fairytale Farm where Alfie the alpaca predicted how England and Wales would fare – with coverage landing across a variety of national newspapers, and even ended up with a live appearance on ITV’s This Morning!

Classic newsjacking PR that generated great profile for both businesses.

Packed out concerts from popstars Ed Sheeran and Tom Grennan helped Coventry Building Society Arena increase its visitor numbers to more than 1.2million in 2025.
Sustained growth in live events, conferences, football attendances and casino visitors saw the venue record its best year for visitors since the pandemic.
We helped to announce the venue’s good news, achieving a strong amount of coverage in trade media titles such as Football Stadium Management Stadium Experience and the Meetings Industry Association.
The story was also picked up by Coventry Live and the C&W Chamber of Commerce helping the venue to market itself as a desirable destination to existing and potential customers.

🔷 We helped CV Life venue Coventry Transport Museum shine a spotlight on a project which saw two Dresden-based photographers capture veterans of Coventry’s motor industry workforce next to vehicles from their careers.
The project helped mark 85 years since the Coventry Blitz and 80 years since the destruction of Dresden – the two cities have been twinned since 1959.
