“Big Little Giants” is a wildlife documentary filmed at Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana which recently premiered on National Geographic Wild, bringing the reserve’s landscapes and young wildlife to audiences across Africa and Europe.

Filmed by Wim and Mags Vorster of Wild Web Africa, the documentary follows a young elephant calf and other young animals as they navigate the challenges of growing up in the wild. Through intimate encounters and extraordinary footage, the film offers a glimpse into the resilience, family bonds and instincts that shape young life in the African wilderness.

Broadcast times vary globally and are confirmed closer to airing. Nat Geo Wild is on Sky Channel 841 in the UK.

On Sunday our little media group went on an epic 13 hour game drive in Kafue National Park - exploring the Busanga plains.

Meet Oscar our wonderful guide…

We were so impressed with how knowledgeable he is on his wildlife, trees and birds.

Highlight for me was finding a pride of 20 lions relaxing in the shade - including some very cute cubs.
