Together we’ve put names to faces, identified old buildings, solved mysteries and shared stories that might otherwise have been lost.
So, we thought we’d make it official…

🏆 Chief Detective – One of the village’s finest history hunters.
⭐ Honorary Detective – Awarded for exceptional service to the Sharlston Detectives.
How do you earn promotion?
📸 Share an old photograph.
😊 Put a name to a face.
🏡 Identify a place.
📖 Tell a family story.
🔍 Help solve one of our mysteries.
Every contribution helps preserve another piece of Sharlston’s history and might just earn you a promotion from Detective Headquarters.
Before anyone asks…
💰 The wages are terrible.
🚗 There’s no company car.
☕ Tea breaks are compulsory.
🏅 And promotions are awarded after careful consideration and the occasional heated debate.
